“Having to defuse a time bomb under pressure." Cody admitted. Just a few hours ago, the Screaming Gophers were partying until Owen stunk up the cabin, leading everyone to go back to the campfire, and that led to everyone having this big share-fest by the fire.
All eyes fell on Noah; he didn’t notice since he was too focused on reading. “Hello?! Noah! Are you going to tell us or what?” Heather snapped, which drew his eyes away from the book. “You really want to know? I’m scared of people like you.” Noah smirked while everyone else laughed.
“Ugh! So not funny.” Heather grumbled, crossing her arms. “I’m not really afraid of anything.” Courtney smiled, acting so proud of herself. “Bologna,” Duncan said. “Oh, really. Well, what exactly is your phobia, Mr. Know-it-all?” She asked Duncan back. “C-Celine Dion music store standees.” Duncan muttered.
"Dude, did you say Celine Dion music store standees?" Trent chuckled. With everyone else covering their mouths and trying to hide their laughter as well. "Haha, ex-squeeze me? I didn’t quite get that." Cody laughed.
Noah was bored out of his mind before, but learning that one of the scariest people on the island is absolutely terrified of cardboard cutouts was hilarious. However, the excitement wouldn't last the entire night.
Noah stood up from the fire and began walking back to the cabin, certain that it wouldn't smell that bad after this long. "Headin' to bed?" Owen asked. "Yeah, I'm tired of all the fun." He said with normal sarcastic tone, which made Owen laugh.
Owen chuckled and replied, "Well, you know what they say, all good things must come to an end. Sweet dreams, buddy." Noah waved him off and disappeared into the cabin, ready to escape the group for a peaceful night's sleep.
Cody slipped away from the group, catching up with Noah. "Cabin fever, huh?" Cody asked, giving Noah a knowing smile. Noah nodded, grateful for the understanding. "I just need some quiet." He huffed.
"Oh, I get that." Cody paused. "So, what's your greatest fear?" Noah looked at Cody, contemplating for a moment. "Why would I tell you?" Noah asked. "Well, I- uh..." Cody stammered.
"Well, I guess I was just curious," He replied sheepishly. "I mean, we've been spending so much time together, it's only natural to want to know more about each other, right?" Cody's face flushed. He was red with embarrassment; it was honestly kind of adorable.
"I guess my greatest fear is, like, those puppet doll things. They're just... gross." He confessed.
"Cool, well, not cool, but—" "Cody, calm down. I'm going to bed." Noah leant forward and kissed him on the cheek, which in turn made Cody blush. "T-Thanks, Night!" Cody stammered, flustered by the unexpected gesture. "You're welcome." Noah chuckled as he walked inside that cabin.
The sun was shining, and the birds were chirping. The day was very peaceful. "ALL RIGHT CAMPERS! TIME TO GET YOUR BUTS UP!" Chris screamed over the megaphone. Of course, Chris was going to ruin such a beautiful moment.
"Ah, morning everyone!" Cody yawned. Cody stretched his arms and rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the sleepiness. Noah rolled his eyes and muttered, "Leave it to Chris to ruin the tranquilly." Cody couldn't help but agree.
