'OVER HERE!'

'SHE WENT THIS WAY!'

fourteen, no seventeen, seventeen guards were after me. Who knew that stealing a loaf of bread in Symania could get you here I should probably give you a bit of information on what is happening here. You see:

My name is Melian and I am an elf, I'll be turning sixteen tomorrow I have long blonde hair and wear a long sage green cloak. Ever since the fire that took out half my species all elf's have been on the run, some of use think the fire was no accident and a way to delete elf's from existence whereas I am just on the run for stealing and "murder" notice how I put murder in quotation marks, yeah that's because I didn't I was falsely accused, but the thing is they no who the murderer is but I'm an elf so the obvious choice would be to choose me! I hate the stupid government

'Pssst, up here!'

I looked up 'Tiki? What, why ar-'

I heard a large growl 'Oh hi Scout,' Scout is Tikis' abnormally sized wolf that was handed down to her by gruff the elder mushroom. Tiki and Scout jumped down from the tree, I was pulled onto scout and we dashed of.

Tiki is an elf like me she comes from a long line of archer's and has been training her whole life to help the kingdoms just like her parents, sadly they died one day when the goblins took over, her dad was strangled to death and her mum, buried alive. The elf emperor wanted her to stay with her abusive aunt ( he didn't know she was abusive though) Tiki refused she ran home and packed all her things, as well as some memorials of her parents. She hopped onto scout and they ran of into the distance 

'Hey, so look what I found the trash' Tiki handed my a crumpled news paper with the heading:

                                                           CRYSTAL THIEF ON THE LOOSE 

Last night, the nine realm crystals where stolen. With no trace the guards are loosing hope and are trading precious valuables to rent dragons. The stakes are high, but Queen Eliza has commanded every single bit of land to be searched. Wow she really sticks up for us during these stressful situations, I just love-

'Of course, a huge thing has happened and they can't even last 3 sentences without praising the queen' I said. Tiki laughed, I was happy it had been a while since I'd heard her laugh.

'You know what this means right,' I asked 

'Yup already packed everything we're going to need,' she gestured to two large satchels attached to each side of scout. 'And I have mapped out every where we are going,'

'Nice, where to first?'

'As much as I know your going to hate this we have to go see Erin, she's now the ruler of the arcoíris kingdom,' 

'Your joking right? You remember what happened last time we went!'

'GUYS OVER HERE!' Erin screamed. I launched the glass ball over to Erin, she caught it and ran, ran as fast and as far as she could 'Dang it, she scored,' I heard out of my right ear. It was Tiki 'Come on let's go get Erin I'm starting to get hungry,' 

'Cool! Your mum made the void berry jam on our toast look like a red viper!' Tiki exclaimed 

'No way! Blue eggs?! How did you get them!' I asked Erin's mum rather excitedly. Erin's mum looked confused 'Girls don't you have all this stuff in the Elfland forest,' Tiki and I looked over at her with a dazed expression on our faces 'We wish, only the rich can afford things like this!' Erin's mum felt bad for us I could tell 'I LOVE the arcoíris kingdom,' Tiki said as she leaned over to grab a bowl of sunset beet soup. After a while we all went outside to play some more. 

'Hey poor brats get out of our kingdom and stay out, nobody wants you here' Erin screamed at us 'What did u just say to us,' Tiki reached for her bow and I reached for my dagger. Erin smirked   'Not so fast,' She ran to her left and sounded the danger alarm. Guards where coming at us from every direction, Tiki whistled and soon enough we heard pounding on the ground Scout came running through shoving guards left and right he grabbed us and launched us onto his back and he ran off Tiki, although relived, started balling her eyes out I grabbed her tightly and gave her a big hug I turned around to see Erin still standing with all the fallen guards pursing her lips as she took a big bite out of my blue egg. She knew what she had done.

'Pfft, it's all in the past!' Tiki exclaimed while leading Scout through the forest 

'IN THE PAST?! Sure,  because you didn't cry for the whole journey back,' I said sarcastically. Tiki huffed 'I did not,'

'Oh really because I remember quite clearly you crying then going to sleep while still crying,' 

'Whatever, this still doesn't change the fact that we are going to see her,'

'She sounded the alarm on us!'

'She's our friend!'

'More like was our friend! She called us poor brats and proceeded to say how nobody wanted us there!' 

Tiki glared at me. I knew Erin had hurt just as much as she had hurt me. We really needed this, but there was no telling what Erin would do once we got there she could sound the alarm again and do something to scout, but I had to be there for my friend.

'Okay fine, but I can't promise that I'll be nice!'

'That's good enough for me,'

As the trees started to clear and leaves on the ground disappeared, I could tell we where getting close. I thought I saw something glisten in a cave. I was just about to see what it was when Tiki poked me 'Melian Look up,' we where here.
