Jayden's p.o.v

Ava tells me that she's gonna introduce me to her parents. Half of me tells myself to be happy because Ava and I have been in this relationship for about 2 years now and I think I should meet her parents. The other half tells me to be scared of her father's reaction. We have been in this relationship for almost 2 years and I'm scared that she's gonna get told off by her parents because she waited a long time to introduce me.

Ava's p.o.v

I can't wait for Jayden to come over. I think I should've introduced him to mum and dad a long time ago. But I just didn't want my dad to overreact because he is overprotective.

Jayden's p.o.v

I'm really nervous when I approach the porch of Ava's house. I brought flowers for Ava to be more like a gentleman and I brought some desserts. Ava told me how much her dad loved football and coincidentally we both go for Canterbury Bulldogs so I got him a jersey which had the autographs from all the players. I hope this turns out better than expected.

Ava's p.o.v

I'm waiting very eagerly for Jayden to ring the door bell. I'm sitting on the edge on the couch thinking, What if he doesn't come? Is he too scared of my dad? I'm so confused. My head is spinning and spinning as if it's a whirlwind. I decide to wait on the front porch. I can't stand anymore because my head really hurts so I decide to sit on the rocking chair.

10 mins later

Jayden finally arrives and to my surprise, he brought gifts. In one hand I see a bouquet of stunning red roses and in the other hand I see a box of a chocolate mud cake and a present- I have no idea who the present is for but that was very considerate of him to do that.

Jayden's p.o.v

I see Ava run to me and I pick her up, twirling her around for about 3 seconds then I gently place her down. 'Hey!' She says bubbly and energetic. 'Hi, gorgeous, how are you?' 'Good thanks.''Wanna come in?' She asks in a weird manner. 'Sure, sure.' I reply really nervously.

Ava's p.o.v

I don't know why but I think Jayden's nervous to meet my parents. He seems like that because if I didn't say anything before when we were standing in the driveway, we would still be there. I open the front door and my parents are just standing there looking very eager to meet Jayden.

'Mum, dad this is Jayden. Jayden this is my mum and dad!' I try to keep the introduction low because I don't want my dad to ask random questions. 'Hello Mr and Mrs Morgan. I'm Jayden Bryers.' Everything seems to be going well. But this is just the beggining. 'Hello Jayden, Ava has told us so much about you!' Says my mum very politely. My dad is just staring at him, like a hawk looking at it's prey. Jayden gives the cake to my mum and says, 'My mother didn't want me to walk in empty handed, so she told me to buy a dessert.' 'That's very nice of you to.' Says my dad in a light tone. 'Ava told me how much of a Bulldogs supporter you are Sir and since I'm a supporter to, I decided to get you an autographed jersey.' Jayden seems a bit more relaxed now. My dad screams with joy as he notices that every player is on their. 'This must of cost a fortune...I can't except this.' 'Please sir, we are members and we get 2 shirts for $50. I would really appreciate it if you take it.' Says Jayden. My dad actually took it. Tonight's gonna go really well! I hope..

Jayden's p.o.v

This is going way better than I expected but it's kinda awkward just standing in the hallway. Finally Ava's mum announces that dinner's ready so we make our way to the dining room. 'So..Jayden, what do you do for a living?' Asks Ava's dad. 'Umm.. sir I'm the Bulldogs coach.' 'Your the...who...what now?' 'Yeah, because we are members I got a job as training the players. If you want one day I can arrange for you to meet them if you want?' 'Yes, that would be good.'

Ava's p.o.v

Everything is going really well. I just hope it stays like that.

30 mins later

We have finished dinner and we're talking in the living room and my dad is going way better than I expected. Thank god he hasn't been overprotective or anything. He is probably like this because Jayden got him the autographed jersey. That's probably the only reason why he hasn't taken it too far.

Jayden's p.o.v

2 hours later

I'm so happy I survived that. I thought her dad wouldn't accept me, but he did the exact opposite. Ava walks me outside after I say goodbye to her parents. As we're walking down the driveway, she thanks me for tonight and she wants to do it again but this time she wants to meet my parents. 'I'll text you tomorrow, Ava. Bye!' I lightly kiss her cheek and walk to my car. As I start the engine I look through the window and see Ava waving to me. I wave back and drive off.

Thank god tonight went well.
