Dosti hi pyar hai

Chapter 13

All of them were watching the movie but Sid and Faizal were giggling frequently. When everyone's eyes were focused on the movie with the lights switched off, Sid was teasing Faizal by Jannat's name. Abhi, Vaishu and Avu were sitting on the main couch which was placed right infront of the tv. Sid, Faizal and Munna were sitting on another couch and the rest of them were sitting on the carpet with hundreds of cushions and pillows.

Munna was a little sulky because he couldn't sit with Swati. To not let Preeti and Pandit sit together Jai went and sat between both of them. Jaan and Swati were sitting beside Preeti.

Reem was sitting between Ashi and Anu who were sitting a little more closer to the tv. Raj being Anu's best friend sat beside her. Randeep was left with no option but to sit beside Ashi. AbhiNavi didn't notice but Vaishu's hands were wrapped around Abhi's arm.

Watching the friends in the movie enjoy Holi, Preedit were reminded of their school days. When they were in 2nd grade Preeti brought Holi colours to school on the next day of Holi and both of them played with colours for half an hour. Those memories made both of them smile and they both looked in each other's direction but were met with Jai's face. Both of them rolled their eyes at the same time. Jai looked at Pandit and then Preeti.

Jai: Kya hua? Tum dono mujhe kyu dekh rahe ho?

Preeti mentally face palmed and then three of them looked back at the tv screen.

Sid was again giggling while teasing Faizal who was constantly blushing.

Abhi: Thoda chup rahoge tum dono? Hum yaha movie dekh rahe h.

Sid and Faizal looked towards Abhishek and they saw Vaishu hands which were wrapped around Abhi's arm.

Sid and Faiz started howling like wolves after seeing AbhiNavi: Ooooh!!!

Their howling turned everybody's attention towards them. Vaishu realised their position and immediately took her hands away and sat straight.

Jaan ooohed too seeing what happened. AbhiNavi glared at the trio.

Jai: Ab aankhein dikhane se kuch nhi hoga.

Preeti: We saw everything.

Vaishu: Tum logo ko aage movie nahi dekhni kya?

All of them chuckled and then focused back on the movie. Vaishu then didn't dare to even lean a little towards Abhi.

The scene where Bunny comes to know about his father's death came. Ashi was reminded of her parents. She clutched Randeep's t-shirt sleeve as she had some flashes of the past. Randeep sensed her discomfort really quick because he had similar experiences in the past. He quickly took her hand in his and gently rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb.

Ashi was a little surprised by his action, but this action was really comforting for her. It somehow helped her brain to overcome those thoughts. His presence was warm and comfortable for her. No one noticed their small but deep interaction.

The movie soon ended and all of them were ready to go to their respective houses. Randeep said everyone 'goodbye' and went near Ashi.

Randeep: Kal subah milte hain. Bye!

Ashi: Bye!

Randeep left the house smiling with Raj, Anu and Deepu. In the past week it became a habit for Randeep to come to Ashi's house every morning with Deepu and pick up Ashi and Aayu. Then the four of them would go to Aayu and Deepu's school together.
