Heejake

JAKE'S POV 

We were head to head with the XXX High school. We were both tied and only needed one basket more to win. Sunghoon passes the basketball to me as I drive in for the layup, but suddenly the ball gets stolen from me! I see who it is and saw that it was Minhyu (Random name) who had stolen the ball from me. He passes it to his other teammate whom I was close to so I immediately went to defend him. However while defending him, I saw Minhyu deliberately put his foot in front of my feet which caused me to trip and I felt a sharp pain shoot in my ankle. 

I suddenly heard claps and saw that they had won. Sunghoon runs over to me and helps me up. Sunghoon asked me whether I was okay or not? And how did I trip? I told him that Minhyu had deliberately put his feet between my step. He told me to go report it to Heeseung hyung for foul play. I went over to heeseung hyung.

Jake:" Hyung? Can I talk to you?" I said timidly cause he was fuming and looked scary and also cause I was in pain due to my ankle. 

Hee:" Oh! Look who it is! The person who couldn't even handle their feet" He said in an angry way.

Jake:" H-hyung about that, M-minhyu t-tripped me deliberately." I said scared af. 

Heeseung hyung started coming closer to me as I started backing away. I soon hit the wall and tried to escape from the sides but he pinned me on the wall. 

Jake:" H-heeseung h-hyung? W-what a-are u d-doing?" I asked scared for my life. Suddenly, a sharp pain shooted through my body. 

Hee: "Stop. Trying. To. Make. Excuses Jaeyun! You know what kind of people I hate the most?" I shivered when he used my korean name. He asked as he placed his hand on my chin and roughly turned my face to the side and whispered in my ear in a hostile tone.

Hee: "People like you, who try to cover their mistakes by blaming others. Now here's the plan. You are gonna come in for practice tomorrow and you are gonna be defending me the whole practice and every time you mess up , 1 lap around the court. Understood?

Jake:" Y-yes h-hyung"

He left me and went outside to the court. Soon, it was time to go home. I had to walk home today but it was really painful due to my injury. My ankle had swollen up and had started becoming black. Oh! How am I gonna do practice tomorrow? 

THE NEXT DAY AT PRACTICE

Hee: "Come on Jaeyun"

 He said as he started dribbling. I tried defending him but my ankle had not let me. It was paining everytime I moved it and the pain was exhausting me. Heeseung hyung was too fast and I couldn't catch up with him which resulted in me running laps. I had reached my limit and begged him for a break.

Jake:" H-hyung please! I-i r-really need water! P-please hyung!" I said almost with tears in my eyes. He sighed and agreed. I went inside the locker room. I sat on the bench and started to cry. It was hurting so much! Everything in my body was aching and my ankle had swollen up double than yesterday with a blackish color. I was in so much pain! Tears were coming out of my eyes nonstop. 

"Jake?" I heard someone say. I turned around and to my horror it was Heeseung Hyung. I looked at him with huge eyes and looked down to my feet. 

Hee: " Jake, were you crying?" 

He asked. I refused to answer. He knelt down and pulled my face up to face him.

Hee: "Hey, it's alright. Come on, let it all out." He scooped me up in his lap and started rubbing my hair comfortably. 

I started crying hard, burying my face in his chest. 

Jake: "I-i'm sorry hyung! I-i d-dis-disappointed you! I-i just h-had this injury on the c-court y-yesterday and m-my an-ankle is s-sprained, s-so I-i w-asn't a-able to to practice g-good. I-i'm s-so s-sorry! " 

I said as I cried hard. Heeseung hyung chuckled.

Hee: 'You dumb kid, why didn't u tell me about your ankle huh? I know that u wouldn't get a sprain just like that. I'm so sorry for my behavior yesterday. Hyung was angry and couldn't comprehend it. Will u forgive hyung?" 

He asked in a soft voice.

Jake: "Y-yes, w-will forgive hyung" 

Hee: " I'll get ur stuff and drop u okay?" He asked as I nodded. 

Jake:" T-thank you hyung!"

Hee: "No worries Jaeyun" he said with a smile.

The rest of the day faded away as he carries me home. I knew that it was just the start of our journey.
