Everyone took in a deep breath, but Y/n could feel the presence of the portal lingering. It wasn't until moments after it opened, and the leader of the villains plunged back towards All Might.
The man had little time left, and nearly no strength. Both Y/n and Izuku's eyes widened, both of them rushing to save the man.
"All Might!" Izuku screamed, launching himself into the air and simultaneously breaking his legs.
Y/n grit their teeth, running to protect All Might, "Kyojuro!" They screamed, blocking the man from perriwinkle haired villain's touch.
They felt dry fingertips wrap around their head, screams rushing into their ears in a blur. His touch was like a sun, decaying their skin to dust as they pulled out their sword.
They wouldn't die without at least cutting off the man's arm. They were ready to swing, when a swift wind flew in front of them. The villain recoiled, a bullet hole going through his skin.
"Ack!" He shouted, looking up to the stairwell and seeing a large group of heroes, "The pros have arrived," He scowled, "We have to go, Kuro-"
Bullets seemed to hail from the sky, shooting the villain over and over. He stumbled into the portal, letting it shield him as the bullet hell continued.
Just as he was about to retreat, a current of wind sucked them up, drawing both the portal man, and the villain and reducing them to nothing. The portal resisted as the villain crawled into this.
"This isn't the end," He growled, "I'll find you, and I'll kill you!" He said before disappearing into the portal, which caved in on itself.
The villains had gotten away. Y/n frowned. They stared at All Might, who was quickly turning back into his civilian form. In a poof of smoke, he turned into his scrawny body. As Y/n was running towards him, cement pillared up. They jumped over it, landing swiftly.
"Toshinori! Are you alright?" They asked, looking to the floor and balling their fists.
All Might mustered up a pained smile, "Of course I am, Y/n. Thanks to you!"
The distress in Y/n's now soft eyes was out of character for them, and confused Toshinori, but it was a welcome change all the same. He couldn't tell if it was because they cared for him, or another reason, but it didn't matter in that moment.
"Shut up," Y/n said, lifting up All Might's shirt and checking it out, "I'm sorry, Toshinori, if I wasn't so distracted with Douma, I could've helped you," They frowned, "I'll go find someone to help you. See you later, All Might, Izu," They said, rushing off.
They ran out of the USJ, ignoring their classmate's shouts for them to slow down. Once they got outside, there was a bunch of ambulances, and the detective who questioned them when they first arrived.
They noticed their teacher on a stretcher, being rushed out. His skin was turned to ash, and crumpled up. They shivered, it reminded them of themself.
"Hey, detective," Y/n said, catching the man's attention.
The man hummed turning, "Who is it-" When his eyes landed on the slayer, he jumped, "Oh! It's you, L/n! Here, I'll help you-"
Y/n swatted his hand away, "I'm fine, detective," They said, "I just need to get someone to help Toshinori," Y/n explained, letting go of the man's hand.
"L/n, your arm and neck have been avulsed. We need to get you help-"
"The others need it more right now. Just get someone to heal him," Y/n sighed. They hated people looking down on them, and, even more so, they hated those that tried to care for them. They didn't need things like that, they hadn't for a long time.
Perhaps it made Y/n seem bitter, and unloving, but they didn't think things like that to be true. They simply wouldn't allow them to get attached to those weaker than them. Those who would inevitably be crushed.
They stared despondently into the bright afternoon sun, watching the ambulances rush off, some carrying villains, others carrying classmates. This chaos- it was something Y/n couldn't help but blame themself for.
The symbol of peace was too distracted trying to save them (even if it was useless) and ended up getting hurt. Douma hurt Aizawa because of them. If they hadn't been there, maybe things could have been better.
They needed to get back to their world before any more harm came. They needed to.

JAPAN - TAISHO ERA
—Rengoku paced in circles. It had been months since Y/n went missing. No evidence of them came up, even when the corps were putting their all into finding them.
Their crow said nothing of them dying, which gave the slayers hope, but it seemed to be for nothing. No matter where they looked, no trace of Y/n was left. It was as if they had disappeared from the world entirely.
"KYOJURO!"
A scream pounded in the man's mind, echoing through. It sent shivers down his entire body. It was the voice of his former Tsuguko, Y/n.
Images flashed through his mind, of them reaching out to something, a chunk of their arm and neck missing.
"I'M SORRY."
Y/n's eyes looked so far away, looking up to someone Kyojuro couldn't make out. The harsh sun seemed to reflect on their sickly skin, not letting their wounds heal.
"NEED IT MORE"
A frown seemed to be tattooed onto Y/n's face in all of the moments. They seemed so distant, it was much colder than the Y/n Kyojuro know.
He didn't know what the moments were, but it had to be a clue. Y/n was out there, somewhere. He just needed to look harder.
"I miss you."
He felt a tug on his soul, one from a demon's aura. In instinct, he resisted, before realizing it could have been Y/n. But it was already too late, the tug was gone.
Y/n had never gotten a blood demon art, but he was willing to take the chance it was them. He huffed, determined to get to Y/n.
