My best friend called me. Today was the day. Am I going to Rygelle Outrival University or what?

My best friend and I were gonna study in Rygelle Outrival University for college. It was a pretigious university and was just in the metro manila. My parents wanted me to study in U.S but I didn't want to. I wanted to stay here in the Philippines.

I took a deep breath. I was getting so nervous!

"Kinakabahan ako" I said as I stared at my laptop [Beh, kase buksan mo na! Tapos hanapin mo din yung pangalan ko, ah!]

I pressed the link and I nervously looked for my name in the lists of students who got accepted in ROU

My eyes widened as I saw Eloise's name

PASSED | Eloise Sayer Conception

"Beh, nakita ko na pangalan mo" I was so happy for my best friend but I panicked as I can't find mine. I started biting my finger

[Weh? Omg, nakapasok ako sa ROU!]

"Beh di ko mahanap pangalan ko" I was scared

I promised my parents...

[Ang talino mo, paano ka hindi makakapasok sa ROU?] My heart was beating so fast until I finally saw my name [Ano beh nahanap mo na?]

"Oh my gosh" My jaw dropped "Nakita ko na name ko!"

"Omg mag-aaral tayo sa ROU!" I was so happy that we got accepted [Omg sana may pogi dun]

"Yun lang talaga hanap mo beh?" I asked her [Duh ano pa beh?]

Hays si Eloise talaga

Kahit saan siya magpunta, basta may pogi

[Alam mo naman motto ko beh, basta may gwapo, pupunta ako]

Eloise has been my best friend since we were 7 years old. We went to the same elementary school. Our families were also close. She was the heir to her family's company, Conception Foods Group Corp.

My parents' owned an investment company, Luna Holdings Inc. They've invested in a lot of companies which makes them well-known to a lot of families

My parents invited me to lunch

"So? Did you get accepted into ROU?" My mother looked at me blankly "Yes, I did" I answered "Good" She looked back at her food

"The university has dorms" I told her "I don't need my condo anymore"

"Sure" My mother simply said "If that's what you want" She said "You know our rules, Estella" My mom looked at me again. I nodded

We were like this at every meal, silent and awkward. Until it becomes a screaming match

"It's your rules, Elizabeth" My dad cleared his throat

"It's simple rules, Gabriel" My mom glared at my dad "No boyfriends until after graduation, make sure that you will graduate top. 1 and a summa cum laude" She had a stern tone. My mother looked back at me with her strict look

"She's old enough for a boyfriend" My dad looked at my mom "No, she's not!" My mom glared back at my dad. I remained silent and looked back at my food

This was normal for me. They would always fight. Well what do I expect? Their marriage was arranged. My mom never wanted to marry my dad but she did it because she was terrified of my grandma

"Estella, you will follow my rules!" My mom was getting angry "We will continue this conversation at the house" My mom looked back at my dad

She grabbed her bag from the table and walked out

"I'll pay, Estella" My dad said to me "I hope you do your best at the university"

"I'm sorry that your mom is acting that way" My dad said "I love you, sweetheart" He sighed "I love you too" I whispered

He would always do this, apologise for the things my mom did. Why can't she apologise to me?

My mom would always be like that. Any small thing could make her burst. I'm used to it but sometimes it can be very irritating.

I was with Eloise at a salon

"Hindi pwede yung dyed hair pero pwede light make-up" Eloise complained

She dyed her hair magenta because apparently, it's pretty but the university doesn't allow students to have dyed hair. Now she has to dye her hair back to its natural color

"Bakit ikaw pinayagan?" Eloise asked me as she turned to another page in the magazine she was reading "Natural kase akin, sis" I said in a sassy way

My hair was light brown because I'm mixed. My dad is Spanish-Canadian while my mom is Filipino.

"Sana all nalang mixed" Eloise pouted
