"Hey" Luke smiles as he takes the seat across from me.
"H-hey" I stutter. "I um already ordered"
"It's okay, I already ate. I just wanted to see you" he says as he flashes another smile.
A different waitress comes over to bring me my order. "Your old waitress requested a switch. I'm Hailey" she informs me, she must have noticed my confused look.
"Oh" I sigh in relief. I lied, there's no way I am telling Luke about Jocelynn living here. I can't. What if he leaves me? I couldn't handle that. I love having him in my life, I don't want to risk that.
"So, um, why did the waitress require a switch?" Luke asks Hailey.
"Honestly, I'm not sure. But I do know that as soon as she saw you walk through that door", she says to Luke, "she panicked and made me switch with her"
"Oh, well okay then. Can you point her out to me? Maybe I know her from somewhere and that's why."
"She's not out on the floor right now, but if she comes out, I'm point her out to you" she smiles and walks away.
"Did you recognize the waitress?"
"What no! Why are you so obsessed with her anyways?" I say, letting my jealousy show.
"Jesus sorry. I was just wondering, calm down" he says. I sigh and take a bite into my pancake.
I finish 15 minutes later. Luke and I bicker over who's paying. After a good 5 minutes of arguing, Luke wins and pays for my meal.
"Mad I never got to see that waitress" he says as we walk to my car. It's like he's trying to piss me off. Why else would he talk about another girl?
"Oh my God, would you just drop it already? Who gives a shit who she is!" I yell in frustration.
"K. Fine. I'll back off" he snaps.
"Wait" I huff as he begins to walk away. "I'm sorry. I'm just the jealous type."
He turns to look at me and hesitates for minute. He takes large steps with his long legs towards me, grabs my face, and gives me the most passionate kiss I've ever had in my life.
I immediately kiss him back and our tongues begin to move in perfect harmony. These are the moments with Luke that I live for.
"I...love...the...jealous type" he grunts in between kisses. I smile and kiss him back as my response.
We break the kiss and my hand slips into his as we walk down the block to my car.
"Yes" he says suddenly.
"What?"
"Yes. I'm ready for a relationship. With you. And only you" he smiles down me.
I throw my arms around him and give him the tightest hug. I smile into the kiss.
"Let's go somewhere" I whisper. He nods and opens up the door for me.
We drive and drive until we find a place far enough away so that we won't be bothered by anyone.
