Klaus's POV:

"We'll all be together soon." I say staring down at the row of coffins lining the basement.

It had been several months since I'd daggered Rebekah. Elijah for almost a year. Kol for 2.

It was my intention that once the additions to the home was set and I gained some more hybrids, I would wake them all, one by one, giving each time to adjust. An added bonus, if one tried to force my hand, I had made sure to hide their dagger and have my witch cloak the others, keeping all leverage on my side.

Whoever I woke first, it wouldn't matter.

My plan was to wake Elijah.

He would be furious, of course but he'd still stay by my side, if only for our sibling's' sakes.

Everything fell apart after the Town Council flooded the town's water supply with vervain and sent everyone on a vampire hunt. I had no other choice but to keep the hybrids inside and rely on my human spies to get the jobs done. I'd figured the easiest solution would be to capture the members one by one and bleed the vervain out of them. This was not the case.

The town hero vampire, Stefan Salvatore stepped in the way, disagreeing with my methods and killing more of my hybrids.

I was down to two.

So now I have Stefan Salvatore drying out in the cell in the basement.

I check the time.

11:37 pm

Time to give him some more blood.

Stefan is a vampire, deadlier than any other. He's known as a Ripper. Once they taste human blood, they lose all control. Leaving towns massacred as a result. No survivors. All drained corpses, the need so strong that he fed with such force it decapitated each one.

I open the door and walk through the hall and walk past Lorelei's room. She'd been harassing my hybrids and it was the best way to keep everyone from slaughtering one another.

I have the power to turn humans into vampires and werewolves into hybrids.

Listening in, it's easy to know the room is empty. She's rarely ever in there, preferring to sneak off into the woods.

Every night is the same.

As the sun goes down, she wolfs out and spends the first few hours running. Then she falls asleep in the woods somewhere.

Always returning at sunrise.

I walk through the living room and into the kitchen where I grab a small vial of blood.

Given enough blood every few hours keeps a vampire from dessicating. Without it, their veins dry up and they turn grey and weak.

I move through the house and down to the basement. To the right, the coffins, obscured by a cloaking spell and protected by other ones.

"You here to let me out?" Stefan asks as I walk down the stairs

The cell is around the corner to the left. Reinforced door. No windows.

I toss the vial through the slit. Stefan reaches for it, weak from starvation. He opens it and moves the vial towards his lips then stops.

"I'm not drinking this." He snaps and launches the glass tube towards the door

I cover my face with my arm as it shatters.

"You'll have to give in eventually Stefan."

It had been over seven hours since he'd had the taste of blood. He was weaker than the average vampire, feeding only on animal blood. Without it, he would desiccate soon.

"You feel that? Your veins rubbing against each other? Your mouth dry like sandpaper?" I ask

He glares at me.

"Shut the hell up."

"I have all the time in the world Stefan. As immortals, you and I both know, forever is a long time...especially without feeding. It will only get worse. Your skin will turn to gray. To weak to move a muscle. Feeling like your dying." I grin at the dirty look I get

Soon enough, he won't be able to resist.
