It's almost midnight, but Rosé is still up. It's been over a week since she last saw the man who looks exactly like her husband.
She is sitting near the window, watching her son sleep comfortably on their bed. He is a miniature version of his father. She smiles as she lovingly caresses Seongyoon's face. "At least I have you in my life, my little love."
As her gaze returns to the window, she watches the calm ocean a little way from their house through the gorgeous moonlight. She recalls the first time she and her husband visited Hallim, notably Hyeopjae Beach. She blushes as she remembers how they made love right there on the sand that night, knowing it was quite risky that someone might see them.
"Jungkook, wherever you are right now, I'm back here to fulfill what we talked about that day—us living here in this peaceful town away from the miserable life we had in Seoul." She smiles, looking back at her son. "Seongyoon is growing so fast, and he really looks like you. How I wish you were still here with us." A solitary tear trickles down her face, but she quickly wipes it away. "It's hard, Babe, without you by my side. There are times when I just wish I had died with you that day." She swallows, keeping herself in check as she looks at the wedding ring on her ring finger and sighs. "But then I found out I have Seongyoon, and he's the reason why I'm still fighting every day." She looks back at the night sky. "I love you... Jeon Jungkook, and I'll be yours until my last breath."

Jungkook was finally back in Hallim, one of the towns on Jeju Island, where he had a vague recollection that he and Rosé had visited before for vacation. He can't remember the details or the reason why they came here, so he's going to see her and let her tell him their story.
He giggles to himself, knowing that even though she thought he was dead, she decided to come back here, and it seems like she has spent the past five years of her life in this town.
He recalls her telling him in one of his dreams that she wanted to live in a tranquil spot near the ocean, and Hallim has some pretty nice beaches around the town.
He has to see her right away. He wants her to know how much he misses her and to apologize for their last meeting, which broke her heart.
He doesn't want to confront Soo-hee just yet. He must first patch up his relationship with Rosé before confronting her.
He is riding a motorcycle that Haruto lent him. It took him six hours to travel from Seoul to Jeju Island, and even though he's exhausted, there's nothing that can keep him from locking his wife in his arms. He wants to see her again, and he swears to himself that this time they will never be apart.
When he finally finds where she lives, he is beaming from ear to ear. Bogum had given him directions so he could get here. They've been friends since she arrived, and he's envious of everyone who has spent the last five years with his wife, for he, her own husband, has barely spent three months with her, according to Haruto. His heart sank when he discovered how he treated her for the first two months after their marriage.
He stayed at Haruto's residence for two more days, telling him about their past, way back to their college days, and when Jungkook worked at the Kim Corporation. He had hazy memories of everything, but Haruto did his best to help him remember.
Right now, his main goal is to talk to Rosé. He shuts off the engine, takes off his helmet, and gets off the motorcycle.
He sees the front door of her house open, and his smile widens when he sees Rosé go out. He is about to approach her when a man comes out of the house after her. His smile quickly fades to a scowl as he clenches his fist, not liking what he's witnessing. He watches as the man leans in and kisses Rosé's cheek, and she smiles sheepishly at him.
