It was a cold winter night as the sky reigned. Darkness surrounding the world, there is one place it deserves to be. The overbearing darkness locked up. Upon this mess of people thrown is one in particular, Donny Lum.

Donny had been abandoned by society, thrown away like trash. The incident was three months ago. On that blazing summer day Donny had felt as if he were melting. The air conditioning had kicked the bucket as the hottest part of the summer rolled out. It was a slow day as any and Donny had nothing better to do. Donny had an interesting idea, why doesn't he just 'take' the money. It was that day Donny had sealed his fate with that idea.

Donny had gotten up off of his sweat soaked couch and put his muscles to use. His first muscle would be his brain, trying to figure out what exactly to do. After some time he had come up with a few things. The first thing is the people he'll need. Donny would head out to find his confidants, or less extremely his friends.

Donny had rounded up Bill Dove, John Sanchez, and Dave Doe. Bill of course would be the one to object, not wanting things to go south. Dave of course would lose his temper at Bill, settling that dispute. John was just standing still and listening closely. Everyone knew John was drunk, but everyone also knew he could still be of use. They began discussing their plans, they would go back and forth for hours on end. First it was a bank job, then a grocery store, down to a convenience store. The store in question was a nifty little corner store a few blocks away. After conversing they began to suit up.

After getting dressed for the occasion, they would head out in their mode of transport. Donny and his crew were sporting a clean little sports car. The crew needed to get away quickly so they chose John's car. Everyone was sporting automatics as they knew nothing less would suffice. The drive was silent as everything that had needed to be discussed, had already been done so. It only took a few minutes for them to reach their destination. They had reached the corner store.

It was 3:30 pm, July 23rd, a normal hot day. Inside of the poorly air conditioned corner store stood the cashier, tending to his duty. Dale, the cashier, would be handing someone a pack of cigarettes from the back of the counter as it all began. Donny led the pack as he had kicked open the doors. As the sudden noise and rough door opening caught everyone's attention, Donny began yelling at everyone to get down. His crew watched his back as everyone in the store. Egan complying. Bill kept his attention on the hostages as Bill walked over and began loading up food and alcohol into the vehicle. Dave kept his gun trained on the cashier and Donny began yelling demands at Dale. Dale of course had pushed the silent alarm immediately as they got in. Donny did not realize this but knew either way they had a short amount of time. Dale would begin handing them the money quickly as they had instructed, at least that's what he thought he heard through the yelling. After a few minutes they would be on their way and get into their escape vehicle.

It was now 3:50 pm as they began to drive away, unfortunately however they had not gotten out unnoticed. They'd pull out into traffic as behind them police sirens began blazing. Knowing what was coming next they'd all make sure all of their firepower was ready for use. Behind them was multiple sirens yelling for them to slow down, obviously they did not incline to do so. Donny and his crew had begun to lay down fire onto them. The air began blazing with bullets back and forth, everyone unleashing their magazines. Bullets flying as they constantly took sharp turns, the car almost flying off the ground from the insane getaway. It began, Dave had been shot and killed from a well placed shot, they'd have little time to mourn their friend. Soon they make their way to a tunnel. The gunfire would start to die down a bit as they'd turn down a maintenance tunnel. The crew would be dead silent, sitting next to their dead friend.

They would abandon the car and change, also unfortunately having to abandon their friend as they began hearing voices from a distance, they began running to one of the exits. They knew if this happened they'd need an escape, and they'd need to leave discreetly, they picked out an entrance that led out of the middle of nowhere. They would begin walking through fields of corn and wheat. Soon they'd look up into the sky and realize their mistakes, losing their car and their dear friend. Out of nowhere Bill was shot and fell to the ground. They had been followed from the tunnel to the open fields.

Donny and John had split up, lamenting his choices and wishing to the world to take it all back. Donny would be shot at but missed, for the most part. After running for a while and almost making it through the fuel, he had been shot in the leg. Donny fell, his entire world had stopped, everything was slow as he was surrounded. Donny was caught.

Three months later he'd be in jail for a few years. Donny had gotten a plea bargain, but the worst part of it all was the betrayal. John had also been caught, but was let go on parole after selling Donny out. John would tell the police it was all Donnys idea and had gotten off much easier. It was a burning day in Hell as Donny understood his mistakes. But even more than that, understood the burning heat from his hatred from being betrayed.
