12. Sleeping outside

'Why the hell did I thought it would be a good idea to sleep outside'

I thought to myself rubbing my hands together trying to warm myself up a bit.

It didn't work much but it did something. I can't be complaining about nothing, since this was my fault after all. If it wasn't for me I wouldn't be out here and Alvida wouldn't be upset nor sleeping alone.

Now here I am. Sleeping outside. Crying my eyes out. Sobbing like a baby.

And luck wasn't on my side today since it's freezing cold. I might catch a cold if I stay out to long, but I had no choice but to.

I never enjoyed the cold weather, I'm actually terrified of it. What if someone or something is out there watching me, preying me, waiting for the prefect time to come out and hurt me.

I might be a grown woman but I'm still afraid of the dark. It's just something I never got over. I only like the dark, if I'm with someone so I know that I'll be protected.

Time pass by and I'm starting to get lightheaded and dizzy. My vision is blurring out, breathing is decreasing, body is numb and my mind is not working correctly.

For time to time I'll see random things passing by or walking close up to me. It'll disappear on its own but come back very soon.

I couldn't see because of it. That's just terrifying.

"Hey"

I gasped loudly as I heard a voice coming from behind me. Slowly I turned around to see who it was. Half of me was hoping that it was Alvida but the other not so much, I feel guilty and needed to apologize but was to afraid to.

Looking around behind me I saw nothing. I let out a breath of relief and turned around. In front of me was none other than Buggy himself.

"Hey there Y/-"

I punch him square in the face out of fear. He let out a groan and hit the ground.

I stand up covering my mouth with my hands. Looking at him hoping that I didn't hit him too hard.

'Now look what you done Y/n, you're just a useless piece of-'

"Did I scare you?" Buggy asked me standing up holding his nose.
I couldn't tell if he was hurt or not.

"Yes" I said looking away. "Are you okay? I didn't mean to"

I reached out to try and help him with what I can but push my hands away and shook his head. I was hurt. Did he not won't me here no more? Is he gonna hurt me? Maybe kill?

Him just pushing my helping hands away had me thinking the worst treatment and other things.

"Don't worry so about me I'm fine" He said smiling.

I sighed holding my heart. I thought he didn't want me.

"What's up with you? Why are you out here? It's not safe for you, I don't want anything happening to you, Y/n"

He lifted my chin up with his index finger and thumb, forcing me to look at him. He was looking at me with concern and worry in his eyes. I don't know why, but it had me tearing up.

Buggy then panic and pulled away. He didn't know what happened or why did I just started crying out of nowhere.

"Hey Y/n look I didn't mean to make you cry, I was just tryna get you to look at me that's all. Please stop crying"

I shook my head and look at him still crying.

"It's not your fault Buggy! I'm just crying because I made Alvida very upset and I talked back to her, very rudely. And now she's sleeping alone and I'm out here"

'Look at you. Now you're crying like a baby. So pathetic!'

Buggy let out a breath and pulled me into a hug. He seems like he never did this before. But he did it for me.

"Don't beat yourself up because something that's natural. It's not your fault Y/n. People fight all the time, okay"

I nodded.

"Good"

We stayed like that for a bit longer before he pulled away blushing. He turned his gaze on the floor.

"Hey Y/n?"

"Yes Buggy?"

"Why don't you come and sleep with me until you and Alvida work things out, so you won't be be out here, yea?"

I said nothing but just stared at him. I was confuse. He wants me to sleep with him. My silence made Buggy frown.

"I take that as I no then"

"Wait, no! Buggy it's not like that. I was just thinking that's all. I'm not use to sleeping with people. Not males to much, Alvida was the first female I ever slept with so I'm just nerves is all"

Buggy smiled once more then grab my hand, heading to his room. "Well don't worry about a thing. This clown won't fool around. So you're safe with me, I won't hurt you" He turned around and looked at me.

I smiled and pick up my pace. "Yea, okay"

As we entered Buggy's room, I couldn't help but notice how neat and organized everything was. It was a stark contrast to my own messy living quarters. Buggy pulled out a spare mattress and set it up for me to sleep on.

"Make yourself at home, Y/n. If you need anything, just let me know," he said before turning off the lights and getting into his own bed.

As I lay there in the darkness, I couldn't help but feel grateful for Buggy's kindness. He may be a pirate, but he had a heart of gold. And for that, I knew I could trust him. With that thought in mind, I drifted off to sleep, feeling safe and protected in Buggy's presence.
