How unnecessary, how unpleasant, the dog grunted and grouched about the cat.
It should be as expected, the dog was unpleasant, who would want to be his friend?
One could not understand what was wrong with this dog, how come he was like this when he grew up in such a setting?
Not even the dog himself could find a reason or justification for it. How was it that he was fed, indulged and sheltered and yet he found that he felt nothing but misery?
The food was warm, their arms were warm, and the house was warm, why was he cold?
Why wasn't he happy?
It doesn't make sense! It wasn't fair!
But even if he began to be happy, how would that make sense?
Once he let himself be happy, what then?
It doesn't make sense. Not at all.
In the end, why would it? How should it?
Sometimes there really is just no reason.
