The doorbell ringing has me rushing to the front door. I'm about to throw up in my mouth. Elena is early for moving in today.

Shockingly, the last time I opened my front door, Elena was standing on the other side with tears in her eyes. Yet, she was still the most stunning woman I'd ever seen. I still remember her wearing multi-colored leggings that perfectly hug her curves in every way.

My family knows my front door is always open for them. They all have keys, especially when they come to house sit, and they know I welcome them into my home with open arms.

As I pull open the door, two guys are standing on my doorstep with their arms across their chest.

"Can I help you guys?" I say, positioning myself between the door and frame.

"Zack Jacobs." The taller one holds a hand out for me. He shakes my hand a little too tight for my liking.

The second one, "Caleb Jacobs," grips my hand even tighter in a handshake. "We're Elena's older brothers."

Well, shit.

I stood there with my mouth shut. I don't want to tell them that I had no idea Elena even had any siblings. That would only solidify that I know nothing about the woman I'm having children with.

"Come in," I say, opening the door wider.

I lead the two of them toward the kitchen, and I'm suddenly a lot more grateful that I did an extensive cleaning of the house.

Elena didn't tell me how much stuff she owns or is bringing to move in. She did say that she's not bringing over stuff for the babies yet, because she wants to see if us as roommates are even going to work.

The woman is smart. She's also practical, because I never would've thought of that.

"Can I get you guys anything?" I ask both of them. It's still morning, so I doubt offering them a beer is on the table.

"We just came by to talk," the tired one, Zack, says. "The two of us aren't stupid. Something we each have in common with our little sister is that all three of us are masters at math."

"Math?"

There's something odd about this family. I can't exactly put my finger on it.

I'm looking at Zack Jacobs and he doesn't look anything like Elena. They have similar brown eyes; even though Elena's are more doe-like and beautiful to look at. The one striking difference is Zack has blonde hair. Elena's hair is such a dark brown and it catches these light hues in the sunlight, especially when it reflects against the white snow.

This guy doesn't have features like her.

Neither of them do.

The other one, Caleb, nods and accepts the water bottle from my hand. "We did some math, and Elena's pregnancy coincides slightly with the time she spent in New York City."

"We also asked around and found out you weren't on the island that weekend either."

"My work sometimes takes me to 'the city that never sleeps.' I recommended that hotel for Elena so she can relax and unwind for a weekend. So I can easily make a call and find out that you spent the weekend in her room," Caleb explains.

I lean over the far side of my kitchen island. "Elena already told your mom that I'm the father of the babies."

"We aren't arguing paternity," Zack rolls his eyes. "If Elena says it's you, then we believe her. The girl is incapable of lying, to the point where her truths can be hurtful."
