TW: Alcohol
Saturday morning came in and ended quicker than one of Kirk's many passions. Stars hollow was quiet, and we left the box of pop tarts empty on the kitchen counter. Mom was curled up on the couch with her third cup of coffee as Rory sat on the opposite end with some long, boring book she probably has read a hundred times. I sat on the floor between them on a mound of pillows and a bag of cheesy potato chips. The only sound being the low lull of some comedy show, the turn of a page, and the sound of crunching ringing in my ears.
I stood up, closing the bag and started making my way towards the kitchen. My legs started to get numb from sitting so long. "Hey! Leave those please" I turned to be met with the all familiar, sneaky smile of my mother as she made grabby hands towards the half eaten chips. "It's just all the broken pieces" I gave her a look which only made her wiggle her eyebrows as I handed her the crinkled bag.
"Hey, is it still ok if I spend the night at Shane's? The study group thing?" she put on her confused face. Shane called it, she forgot. "I don't see why not, just don't do anything I wouldn't do" she turned back towards the screen. "That is not a long list" I stated as Rory choked on her coffee and bursted out laughing. "How rude!" my mother replied, trying to catch her breath. I walked back towards mine and my sister's room and started packing.
*Short timeskip brought to you by a fresh cup of coffee*
I sat on the couch as I waited for Shane and some of our other friends to pull into the driveway. My mother and Rory had ventured to Luke's, and I had taken the time to try on the black dress that Shane begged me to wear. It was a black halter neck dress that hugged my waist before flowing down to my knees. The beaded details only made it prettier. I had pulled my hair into a messy and curly ponytail with strands framing my face, and I harbored my earrings from my mother's jewelry box. My makeup was light as I didn't want to sweat off a mountain of makeup and end up in the bathroom for half an hour trying to scrub it off.
I saw headlights peer in through the curtains and the quiet sound of a horn. I threw on my coat, shielding the not so appropriate clothing from Babette's view. I grabbed my bag and made my way out to the old sedan, throwing my bag in the trunk and sitting in the back by Shane, who was dolled up in hot pink. Rich sat in the driver's seat with his greasy hair and an outfit I can bet you he picked up off the floor. The guy honestly gave me the creeps, but he had never tried anything and Shane seemed to trust him. Next to him was Will, the tall brunette football player of Stars Hollow HIgh, and also Shane's brother.
"You look good Chrissy," Rich slurred as he pulled out of the driveway, clearly getting a head start on the partying. His voice sent chills down my spine and I managed to muster a small gratitude as we continued down the road. Shane had pulled out a disposable camera and insisted we take as many pictures of ourselves as the old car bumped down an old sideroad.
"This is going to be so fun!" Shane squealed, and I was sure I saw the glass windows quake a little. We pulled up to what looked like an abandoned warehouse, but it had been decked out pretty well. The door had fairy lights around it and a large logo was lit up on the front outside wall, Juni's Bar and Venue.
The car came to a stop and Will leaned his head over the backseat and looked at the two of us. "Now some rich kid probably bought the place out, something about an open bar, but don't do anything stupid and watch the college guys, okay?" I nodded and Shane giggled "You really are no fun". Will shook his head and as I reached for the door handle, I saw Rich wink at me through the rear-view mirror. I'm pretty sure I actually gagged. I stood up out of the car being hit by a cold breeze infused with the powerful smell of cheap alcohol.
(A/N) Yall writers block is terrible. I cannot wait for the next part! I am so sorry this is so short but i plan to have the next chapter out next week and you guys get to meet one of Chrissy's most important relationships in this book! I am trying to keep this in line with the show but i also want to embrace that Chrissy is a different person, so we are seeing her point of view and her hardships. Thank you for reading- Love ya!
P.S- watch music videos before you pick a random one for a chapter lol
