Disappointment filled your bloodstream as you stared at Cafe at the Rock's door, a flipped-over open sign showing its back to you, displaying the words: Closed. Sighing, you turned on your car and backed out from the parking lot, making your way to work. Checking into the underground parking gate with your I.D. card, you park your car in your designated spot.
You grab your shoulder bag and open your car door, stepping out onto the asphalt with your heeled shoes. Making your way to the entrance, you ride the elevator to your floor, stopping at floor 8. It takes a while to get there, and in the meantime, you sigh in dismay.
Why? Why you? You were only trying to enjoy a nice night at the bar with your colleagues, not get in trouble with your boss!
You mumble under your breath as you reach your floor, walking to a dark oak door and pausing. You took a deep breath, praying to god that you wouldn't get fully blamed. 'In through the nose, out through the mouth-' You cough, the sharp intake of breath hitting the back of your throat full force like a semi-truck. 'Oh, fucks sake! Forget it!' You grumble in your head angrily and rap on the door.
After a few beats, a person calls for you to come in. Receiving the signal to make your way in, you push open the door with a tight smile on your face. All parties from the night before sat in front of you, some tired, and some annoyed. You mumbled out a greeting to the countries and organisations, taking a seat next to a hungover Japan.
Discussions on how they would settle this problem arose, and Kazakhstan helped all three of you out as a lawyer would. "Although this was partially our fault, we did not expect the future events to happen, and certainly not," He paused to grimace. "whatever the fuck America did."
America, who was hungover as hell, mumbled in confusion. "What happened? What did I do-" Russia slapped him upside the head, shutting him up. Ame pouted and sank into his chair, his shirt riding up and revealing his toned abs.
Conversations grew heated, as did the room, and it seemed like this 'custody battle' would never end. Kazakhstan defended all of you with his might, shouting at his enemy who seemed to cower at his aggressiveness. His head grew red with anger at the stupidity spouted at him.
You nudged Japan with your elbow.
"Hey, wanna get the fuck out of here?"
"Huh?"
You rolled your eyes, hooking an arm in his and pulling him up. He stumbled at the sudden movement, coat folding. You whispered into Kazakhstans ear. "Yo, I don't mean to be rude, but the tension is high af here, and me and Japan kinda don't wanna be stuck here." Kazakhstan's face switched like a flip, from spittle flying out his mouth and steam coming out of his ears to a sweet, caring young man. "Of course, take Finland with you as well."
You chuckled and pulled Finland up with you as well, the country sighing in relief as you did. Dragging them to the exit, you kicked open the door with a loud 'BANG' and sauntered off with your two best buddies.
---Time Skip 15 Mins later---
You stretched out your arms, shoulders popping with delight. Groaning, you sink back into the couch, arms spread out like an eagle.
"That's it." You purr.
Finland grunts as he lies down on the couch opposite of you, face down. Japan spins around on your spinny chair, stopping to not puke. He groans and sets his face down on your desk, pouting like a child. You glance over at him, head upside down and grinning. "What's the matter, handsome?" You tease.
His face lights up at your endearment and he smiles. "Come on, you know what happened." He smiles tiredly. You chuckle. "I know all about it."
You sigh as you roll over, facing the ceiling with a frown on your face. "Why meeeeeeeeeee?" You groan. Japan joins in with a chuckle. "Why meeeeeeeeeee?" Finland covers his ears, rolling over so that he faces the back of the couch.
This continues for a while, the two of you groaning in chorus.
"Why meeeeeeeeeee?" You sing.
"Why meeeeeeeeeee?" Japan pipes.
Kazakhstan bursts in with a furious face. "WHY THE FUCK IS IT ALWAYS ME?!?"
All of you jump in surprise, scrambling to hear the news. You stutter. "Well? Are we going to get punished? Are they going to revoke our rights? Are we going to going get grounded-" He cuts you off, facing you with a strained smile that could break with any disturbance. "Darling, I need a time to think." He sets his bag down, and with it, a folder filled with papers.
He walks over to a corner of the room, banging his head on the wall. You pick the folder up, unlocking it softly. A catastrophe of papers falls onto your lap, scattering around the room. You look around, grabbing one gently from the air.
Your eyes widen at the sight before you. Japan stares at you quizzically and your expression, and Finland grunts. Kazakhstan chuckles from behind you, staring at the back of your head. "Seems like you saw it, huh?"
Japan tilts his head curiously, confused. "What do you mean?"
You rest your head back on the plush cushioning of the couch, sucking in an elephant's worth of air.
"What. The. Actual. FUCK!"
