Loneliness and Zoe Carlyle were close friends. They had been for years, since the untimely death of her family had taken her support system and shredded it in two. The tragedy had turned her down a path of self-destruction, one that saw her shoving away all friendships in her grief, so much so that only the most stubborn of her friends managed to keep their claws hooked into her. Even Zoe's boyfriend at the time - arguably the best thing to ever happen to her - was among the relationships that she lost, but over the years, Zoe had made her peace with it.

At least, she thought she had.

When her ex comes stumbling back into her life due to the engagement of their mutual friends, Zoe is forced to confront the fact that maybe perhaps she isn't quite as content with loneliness as she thought.
