The dimly lit restaurant cast a soft glow over Yoongi and Jin as they sat across from each other, plates of half-eaten food before them.

It was their 10th anniversary, a milestone in their relationship.

They both were celebrating but Jin couldn't shake the heavy feeling in his heart.

As they continued to eat, his nerves gnawed at him, making each bite taste like ash. He knew he had to do it, but the words stuck in his throat like glue.

Yoongi periodically glanced at his phone, a small smile tugging at his lips as he scrolled through messages from their fellow BTS members.

"Namjoon and Hobi are so sentimental," he remarked, nudging Jin playfully as he read their heartfelt congratulations. "They're practically pouring their hearts out."

Namjoon's text: "Congratulations on 10 years, hyung! Here's to many more memories together. 🎉"

Hoseok's message followed suit: "Wow, 10 years already? Time flies when you're in love! Wishing you both endless happiness. 💜"

Summoning his courage, Jin took a deep breath and met Yoongi's gaze.

But before he could let out his thoughts, Yoongi's attention was drawn back to his phone, a soft chuckle escaping him as he read the latest messages.

"The maknae line is at it again," he chuckled, showing Jin the teasing messages. "Always keeping us on our toes."

Jungkook's message popped up: "Hyung, congrats on the decade! Make sure Jin hyung doesn't go too wild tonight. 😉"

Taehyung's text followed suit: "Wow, 10 years already? That's like forever! Don't forget to leave some romance for the rest of us. 😜"

Jimin's followed : "Hey, give the hyungs some privacy!"

"Yoongi-yah," Jin began, his voice barely above a whisper. Yoongi hummed and met his gaze, his eyes bright with happiness. The elder's heart clenched at the sight, knowing the pain he was about to cause.

He tried again, forcing the words out past the lump in his throat. "I... I'm sorry."

Yoongi's smile faltered, confusion flickering in his eyes. "Sorry? For what, hyung?" he asked, laughter laced with confusion.

Jin felt his resolve waver, but he couldn't back down now. "I think it's better for us to grow apart from now on.."

The air grew heavy with tension as his words hung between them, suffocating in their weight. Yoongi's smile faded completely, replaced by a look of disbelief.

"What... W-What do you mean, hyung?" he stuttered, his voice trembling.

Jin's gaze faltered, his eyes betraying the pain he felt inside. With a heavy heart, he finally uttered the words that shattered their 10-year bond of love, "Yoongi-yah,

...let's break up."

Time seemed to stand still as Yoongi processed his words. The pain in his eyes mirrored Jin's own as their love story was coming to an end...
