i gave him the letter and then he closed the door. he looked like he wasn't going to forgive me. i was about to tear up and leave, until i felt someone hug me from behind.
i looked back and then i saw that it was ethan.
"sis, i'm sorry too. i didn't mean to scream at you too. and i'm sorry about bringing mom and dad like that..." he signed. i hugged him back.
"it's okay ethan..." i try to say softly and then we both cried.
"start being more healthier okay? mom and dad would be proud of you if you did..." he said, i nodded and agreed while wiping my tears.

i went to my room and started studying again, i was so stressed.
i kept thinking about huening kai... thinking about how could someone not like him.

after a few days, i kept thinking about claire. how she did those nice things to me... i feel like a burden...
she's one of the first people i've met in the university, and she's really nice. i wanna keep talking to her!
i got my flip phone and tried to text her, only to realize i don't have her number.
"i should learn sign language more, to make her happy!" i thought. i looked it up in google, and i saw some tutorials of it.
after a while, i learned how to introduce myself! i ran to my roommate's room, soobin to show him.
"hyung! i know how to introduce myself in sign language!" i exclaimed.
"really?" soobin questioned.
"hello, my name is kai." i said in sign language.
"wow! why are you suddenly learning it?" soobin asked. "well, i made a friend earlier, she's deaf and she did so many nice things to me! she gave me a tissue when i was soaking wet in the rain, and she showed me around the university!" i said, excitedly.
"aww, i'm glad that you made a new friend!" soobin said, clapping.
"thanks, hyung!" i said happily. i left his room and went to my room to learn more.
the next day.
i woke up early, at 5am to learn more sign language, and then i realized how dedicated i was.
i'm excited to show it to claire! she's gonna be so happy!
when it hit 5:30AM, i got ready. i hope i can meet claire on the bus again!
and then i went downstairs excitedly, i also want to show what i learned to my friends!
"hyungs! i learned so much sign language! i even woke up early to learn more!" i told them.

"oh yeah! gotta go! bye hyungs!" i told them while rushing to get my bag.
"bye!" they all said at the same time.
i was running to the bus stop, i was scared that claire might not be there, but phew, she was!
i tapped her shoulder and then i told her i learned sign language.
"hi! my name is kai! how are you?" i signed.
and then, i just saw the most beautiful smile ever.
