10:00 P.M.

Oakley watches the Loves' grandmother as she sat down across from her. The old eyes were stern and cold. Her posture showed that she was from a high society family. The type that would eat shark fin soup just for fun.

"Sadly, I need help. My husband believes that the Love curse is in effect," the woman says with an annoyed tone. Oakley flinches at the tone. She instantly hated this woman.

"I'm sorry, but just a rumor of a curse is not enough," Emmet says. That's her friend, he's never interested in closed-minded people.

"And what is enough, Mister Blackforest," the woman says with a hint of anger.

"Tell me what's going on, and I'll consider," Emmet smiles. Oakley knew that smile, it's a challenge.

"If you haven't heard. Several people went missing and then found dead. Also, the women in the famiy have been having nightmares. Plus the men are all going mad," the woman says quickly.

"Now, I'm interested," Emmet says in his business tone. His eyes glint with evil intentions. "I'll take the case."

"May we speak in quiet please," Oakley asks Emmet. They excuse themselves and close the office door. "Are you crazy!" Oakley yells at her childhood friend. Jeez, this is the guy I had to walk to the bathroom when we were kids: Oakley thought to herself.

"No, I believe I'm absolutely sane," Emmet says.

"You are going to take this job?! Seriously?!"

"We need the money, Oakley. I'm not going to let this go...do you understand?" Emmet says strictly. "You need to increase your maturity level a bit." After the harsh scolding from her friend, she walked out furiously.

Oakley looks at the woman in front of her and glares. "I hope you know that he doesn't allow the media to know his work," Oakley informs harshly.

"Well, I guess Mr. Blackforest and I have the same ideals."

"Good," Oakley says simply.

"Mrs. Love, please come with me for a second," Emmet says. Taylor gets up and follows. Oakley sits down beside Jazmin. She loved her two new best friends. They were smart, beautiful, and different.

However, it's been ten minutes in there. What are those people doing?! Oakley starts to tap her foot impatiently. "Okay, Miss Everything, come here," Trevor motions. His deep voice gives a certain tone that makes her want to do it. Oakley sighs deeply and leaves her girls behind.

"What?"

"Here, take it," Trevor lifts a jewerly box up to her. He motions the other two to come forward. They do with a matching pair of boxes. "From Austin, Emmet, and me."

"What?" Jazmin asks.

"Well we felt guilty for using you three as bait last case," Austin says rubbing the back of his head. Oakley remembers well of that case.

The pervert 'ghost'. A man who hid cameras into single women houses. Emmet rented a place and made all three girls stay in there for a week. Turns out that the boys used them for eye candy. Which, was pretty offensive in Oakley's opinion.

Not only did they not tell them, but they were staying there with pervert cameras. "Thank you," Serena smiles at the boys. She opens it and a beautiful black stone pennant. The stone was in the middle and a beautiful dragon wrapped around it.

Jazmin opens hers and two crystal doves with a emerald heart in between. Oakley let out a sigh and she opens hers. Her eyes go wide with the detial. It was a silver wolf with a diamond moon behind.

"HOLY CRAP!! These must be extremely expensive!!!" they all say at once. Emmet comes out and Taylor leads Mrs. Love out. Trevor takes Oakley's necklace and moves her hair. His hands expertly moves along her skin, and then he puts the neckline gently on her neck. She smiles happily at him.

"I hope you like it. I picked it out for you," he blushes. This was the first time she ever seen that stern face blush or do something funny. She giggles and nods.

"I love it," she smiles. Trevor nods and he looks over to her sister. Emmet was putting on her necklice. Oakley saw lover boy (aka Austin) putting Serena's on. She turns and hugs him. He makes the face he is in heaven and hugs her back.

Oakley smiles and chuckles. "Ok, everyone, be ready to go to the Loves' main house. Pack the equipment tonight and head there tomorrow," Emmet orders. Everyone gets to work instantly. Oakley grabs the bulky wires and then grabs some of the heavy cameras.

Oakley looks outside and realizes it's snowing silently. Oakley pauses to watch as the tiny white specks fall. She knew that quietness of joy was the stepping stone to a stairwell of pain and horror. That's how it worked in this career.

Oakley looks at the Love siblings and knew that they would be effected by this greatly. Suddenly, a hard knock on the door, and the mail slip clapped shut. Taylor ran to see who it was. "No one was there, but they left a resent," she reports to Emmet.

Emmet takes the letter, and they all knew what this meant. S. "Hello, my dearest black butterflies. I hope you all had such a wonderful holiday. Now, the Demons come out to play after such happy times. I must warn you that blood is never thicker than water. In fact water is so strong it can break down the thickest blood in a mere minutes. My black butterflies, some secrets should've never been told to water. I leave you with best wishes, and good luck. Happy Holidays, S."

Everyone stood there for a second. Shocked at what they have received S. Secrets should've never been told to water? What the heck did that mean. What us all this blood and water crap? Questions start floating inside Oakley's head as she tried to figure out the peculiar puzzle.

"There's no point into stating up late for this nonesense. We go up there tomorrow morning. Get plenty of rest, and be ready to have a long car ride," Emmet speeches funalky. They all agreed, and them left. Oakley left quietly as the others and got into her truck to go home.

5:45 A.M.

"It's too early for this, Emmet," Oakley moans. She was literally being dragged into the van. Emmet finally threw her into the van and shut the door before she could escape.

"God dang it! You stupid spoiled brat let me out!" She yells. Serena and Austin move uncomfortably as Oakley struggles with the child locked door.

"I'm sorry, princess. You can go night, night on the way there," Emmet smirks. He hit a mark and he knew it. Oakley hated when he called her princess. It sounded too girly.

"Shut up, both of you," Taylor orders. Suddenly, there was a heavy silence of fear. Oakley looks around and realizes that her favorite siblings weren't here.

"They're heading there for research and looking for a good Base spot, Oakley," Emmet sighs when he sees Oakley looking for invisible people.

"Oh," she simply says. Which means she will be in a deep sleep soon enough.

"Just relax, okay?" Serena says quietly. Serena allows Oakley to put her head on a shoulder. Soon Oakley has fallen asleep and the ride was quiet.

11:56 P.M.

"Oakley, wake up," Trevor says softly in her ear. She moans and turns away from the source of the sound. Trevor sighs, and picks her up. Oakley open her eyes in surprise that he could do this.

"Well, good morning, sleepy head," he smiles at her. It took her by surprise. He usually just smirks or had a deep thinking face.

"Uh, hi," Oakley says.

"Don't drop her, or you will unleash the beast," Emmet says narcissisticly.

"You're such an asshole," she calls out to him.

"A very handsome, rich asshole," he calls back.
