There once was a small village, Sebth's grove, it was a quaint and cozy little village. The village was small enough that everyone knew everyone. The roofs of the were all thatched; besides the town's inn, the inn's roof was made of stone. Sebth's grove resided next to a grand forest, The Great Wood. The trees of The Great Wood were so tall that they were said to touch the heavens. But there was one place in the Great Wood that no tree, grass, vine, or mushroom would grow, this place was the abandoned witches hut on the top of the hill in the center of the Great Wood. Rumors claimed the hut was cursed to kill everything and everyone until the witch returned, others claimed that the witch had already returned and killed anyone and anything that came too close. But they all agreed on one thing, everyone who has gone to the hut has never returned.

Callum was a farmer's son from the small village. He usually worked the farmer with his Da, Rand, but today he was bringing the ale he and Rand made back to the village for the spring festival. This was the most important festival of the year, it was a time for celebrating another winter. As Callum was walking the cart of ale he noticed that there was a small hut resting on a bare hill in the wood.

"Da, what is that house doing in the wood, isn't it dangerous to be out there alone?" Asked Callum.

"That's the witch's hut, anyone who goes up there will never return," replied Rand

"Why doesn't anyone come back from the hut?" Asked Callum

"To be honest, no one knows why no one has come back from that hut, but it stinks to high heaven after someone goes up to the hut." Replied Rand

Curiosity kept drawing Callum to the hut, every rumor that he heard just made the need to see. Every time he saw the hut from that day forward he felt an insatiable urge to go inside. This urge kept getting stronger and stronger. Everyday that Callum felt the urge to go to the hut, he nearly went to the hut. Until one day when he decided that he must go to the hut and see what was inside.

When Rand had heard that his son, Callum, was trying to get to the witch's hut, Rand forbade him from going to the hut. Callum was starting to lose sleep over this need to see what was in that hut. That night, Callum went up to the hut to see what was making people disappear.

What Rand forgot to say was, everyone who went and vanished into the hut was about the same age as Callum.
