"So, Mathew, Friday night, what are we doing?" Ivar asked Matt as they eat breakfast. 
"We?" Matt asked. Ever since he's been staying with them he's been aloud to not only not take as many shifts at the Mystic Grill, his grades are up, but he's gotten to know them, he even started calling Imani either Mani or Mom. It was nice to come home and hear people ask how your day was, or offer to help you with your homework, even play football or video games. 
"Yes we," Ivar stressed, eyebrows raised, "I've been stuck here-"
"Then go somewhere-"
"But I don't wanna go alone," Ivar whines, scrunching his face up.
"Well I can't tonight, maybe tomorrow?" Matt asked putting his dishes into the dishwasher. 
"Why not tonight?" 
"It's my anniversary with Caroline, Tyler's helping me set everything up," Matt smiles. 
"You're still with her?" Ivar asked. Wasn't she with Klaus? Or maybe the little hybrid?
"Two years strong," Matt smiles, "and I can't screw this up."
"If she loves you, you can," Ivar tells him. 
"Not if I want our relationship to go to the next level," Matt reveals, taking out the box that was in his pocket. 
"Whoa," Ivar mutters, looking at the big diamond.
"I've been saving for months, just to put the down payment," Matt stresses. 
"How much is it?"
"When it's fully paid off, 25-"
"Thousand?" Ivar yells, choking on his orange juice. 
"She's worth it," Matt tells him, before looking at the clock.
"Hey, man before you do tha-"
"Almost late for school, see ya later Pops," Matt says, rushing out of the house.
