"Let's start with our new second year. F/n l/n" said the teacher.

I walked up and sat on the stool. I'm actually a first year because this is my first year here. However I'm being placed with the second years because they are the same age group as me. Plus I was home schooled by my step dad Stephen last year.

So I'm all caught up. The teacher placed the hat on me and nothing happened. The room was silent. I can feel all their eyes on me. It will be over soon, hopefully. I nervously started playing with my fingers.

"Strange" said the hat.

"What" I asked.

"Normally I can tell a presence right away, but you. Well it's like you aren't real. I had to wait for you to get really emotional to tell you are here" said the hat.

"Its uh, it's a long story" I said nervously.

"Right" said the hat.

The hat thought for a bit.

"There are two souls inside you" said the hat.

I stiffened up.

"Don't focus on me Bitch" said Jesabel in my head.

"Watch your tongue young lady" said the hat.

I tried to use my mind control and tapped the hat.

"Don't tell me what to do. Just pick a damn house or I will put you in a dryer" said Jesabel in my head.

I kept tapping the hat as my finger glowed green.

"Jesabel, out of all the people I sorted" the hat started.

The hat signed as I tapped it.

"Y/n, trying to mind control me won't make me go faster" said the hat.

"Sorry" I said as I made my finger stop glowing.

"But maybe you can hurry up. We don't have all day" I said nervously.

"Right. You have strange powers. Powers I have never seen before. You need to learn to control them in a year or they will be taken from you" said hat.

"Speak up, I think there are some people in the back who didn't hear you" I said sarcastically.

I continued stemming with my fingers while the hat decided to take forever to decide.

"I got nothing" said.

"Oh come on, just fucking put me in Sylerin or someone. Just fucking pick a house" I yelled at the hat.

"HEY, there will be no swearing at this school l/n" said Snape.

"Fine, since you chose Slytherin. Slytherin will be your house for now. But I can't tell for sure where you belong. So we will try again next year" said the hat.

There was a few cheers from Slytherin.

"WE ARE KEEPING THEM. WE WON'T LET YOU LEAVE" a girl yelled.

There were a couple laughs. The teacher took the hat off and I went to sit with the Slytherin kids. The hat continued to pick houses for others without a problem. I see how it is.

"Whose Jesabel" asked Draco.

"Its a long story. Anyway you're, Draco. Right" I asked.

"Yes, I remember meeting you last year" said Draco.

"Glad you remember me" I said.

"Can you still do the firework thing" asked a boy.

I held up my hand and made fireworks appear over the ocean in my hand.

"How are you doing that" asked the boy as he tried it.

"My friend taught me" I said.

I made the fireworks vanish and pit my hand down.

"I still can't believe you can do magic without a wand" said a girl.

"Is that not normal" I asked.

"Not really" said Draco.

"Oh, I might be able to teach all of you" I said.

"Which reminds me, do all of you new people know how to swim" asked a boy.

"I do" I said.

The rest all said yes.

"Great, each house has their own pool. We all plan on going for a morning swim Saturday morning" said Draco.

He smiled at me. Oh he's up to something.
