Chapter 14

"Lito, are you sure?"

"Im not certain, but after seeing them I'm almost certain." He takes a seat at the end of the bed. "The aggression and altered view of our loved ones. I experienced it all, but definitely not to this extent."

"So you believe your exposure was some sort of test run?" Hao asks, waving his hand over ROB. "Orion, take a squad of Omegas to Tech Duinn. If any enemy forces are there fall back."

The hologram fizzes out and he makes way to the door.

"Where are you going?" I toss the covers aside, biting through the abdominal pain to limp toward the closet.

"I'm going to meet with the Valens. They're assistance will be needed if Carlito's theory proves to be correct." He says. "Get back in bed."

I slam my face into the wall, the snap of my nose shoot pain all through out my face.

"What the fuck!" Lito jumps to my side and I place my hand out to keep him.

"Pain triggers healing." I say, feeling my body reignite. "Hao, you will not be leaving without backup. The realm no longer has safe passage." I rip open the door grabbing my arsenal throwing it onto the bed.

"Jamie, we need Allie's. The pack will not survive without them." For once Hao's voice holds a plead. "I will not allow another family to be ripped away from me."

I take the few steps to stand in front of him. I pull him into a hug, his body going stiff. I step back to meet his eyes.

"I'm going with you. I think I've struck up a good friendship with Princess Asta." I offer a kind smile and return to gather my arsenal.

Thunderous steps travel through the halls resulting with Colt at the door nearly running into Hao.

"Luna, you need to come see this." He says with a frantic look in his eyes.

We all bound down the stairs to find everyone surrounding the television. I squeeze between Benny and Kristan to stand at the center

Oh God.

"Monsters are reportedly attacking the town square! Numerous casualties reported!" The blonde reporter screams into her mic.

Then, live footage of  the square comes up. Completely over ran with Lionoss, Goliaths, Bybas and numerous other creatures from the Homeland.

"They're revealing us." I say, feeling a rage rise into my chest. "We have to help them."

"How do we do that without the humans turning against us too?" Hao questions.

"They don't have any Wolves on their side. Colt, lead the omegas out to the square and start evacuating as many people as you can."

He nods heading outside letting out a howl before shifting and running off with Omegas following behind.

"Benny meet up with Orion and their squadron. Colt's gonna need all the support he can." He gives me a nod and starts heading toward Tech Duinn.

"Hao and Lito, stay here and protect the pups and find out whatever you can surrounding Meru." I don't leave room for interruptions before I run up stairs grabbing my arsenal and diving through a portal of my own making.

I land in a deep hole of dirty water. I thankfully swallowed a breath down before impact.

I break the surface, wiping muck from my eyes and swimming the short distance to land.

I scan the area as I duck near a decent sized boulder. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. I don't even know where the Valens' castle is. How the fuck do I get their help?
