The lion and the lamb,
A rather different kind of relationship,
The lion and the lamb,
Always known to disagree.

The lion and the lamb,
Though is quite an unhealthy pair,
The lion and the lamb,
Always seem to understand the other.

The lion and the lamb,
Pay respects to each other at all time,
The lion and the lamb,
Even if it is their last breathe.

The lion and the lamb,
Is not you and I,
For the lion and the lamb,
Could actually coexist.

The lion and the lamb,
Though in a deadly pairing,
The lion and the lamb,
Could tell what the other needed.

The lion and the lamb,
Even though different species,
The lion and the lamb,
They could read each other perfectly.

The lion and the lamb,
Supposedly dominant and submissive,
The lion and the lamb,
More like equal when in need of food.

The lion and the lamb,
Do not fight for the fun of it,
The lion and the lamb,
Only for survival.

The lion and the lamb,
Do not find joy from conflict like you,
The lion and the lamb,
More like the hunter and the prey.

The hunter and the prey,
Is what we seem to be,
Not the lion and the lamb,
Which you want to be.

The lion and the lamb,
You seem to think,
Have one filled with fear and the other with power,
But the lion and the lamb do not do this,
For the lion hunts for survival and the lamb does the same.

The lion and the lamb,
A relationship built on understanding,
The lion and the lamb,
A relationship built on need.

The lion and the lamb,
Is what you want to be,
The lion and the lamb,
Is what you will never be.
