On that day Kyoko was styling her younger sister, Fuyumi's, hair in a bunch of different ways.

As Fuyumi was asking for a specific hairstyle, she was able to hear her twin brother, Touya, say that he was going out to Sekoto Peak.

Odd, he goes there to train, but he shouldn't be doing that. Endeavor doesn't want him training with his quirk

She decided that hair time with Fuyumi can wait a few minutes as she tried to keep her brother inside

"Touya!" she called out for him

"what? im about to leave."

"please don't go. You know Endeavor's only gonna get mad at you for using your quirk!"

"He won't get mad as long as I get better and stronger. Just wait till he sees all that I can do!"

"Touya.... please your arm already has bandages on it, don't go and burn more than your stomach and arms"

"Right... so i'll see you later and don't worry Dad should be coming to Sekoto Peak, so he'll be able to see what i can do!"

Touya looked so happy telling her how proud Endeavor was going to be of him and his mastery.
so all she could bring herself to reply was "okay then, be careful T!" and with that she decided to go back to Fuyumi, she was sure her brother would be safe especially knowing that their father would be joining him.

She never knew she would regret letting him go so easily, but he was happy so she also was. Besides he promised he wouldn't get too hurt.

Kyoko heard her father come home, but oddly enough she couldn't hear her brother with him

But I thought he was going to go to Sekoto Peak with Touya...he should have come home with dad

and then her father cane into her room. He had been crying. He never did that. He looked...guilty.

Just like that the words he spoke broke his firstborn daughter

"Touya is gone, Kyoko."
Nothing after that was the same for her.
