" MOM PLEASE! I really want to go!" I cried. " Taylor Cassandra Caverly, you do not need to go to some fancy boarding school in New York. Why can't you go to the high school here. Darling your only fifteen years old." Mom screamed. " I can't stand to live in this ...place for any longer!" I started. " What about all your friends here. Aren't you going to miss Margret?" she cried. My voice softened, " Of course I'm gonna miss Margret, and all my friends here, but don't you think it's about time I should... I don't know.. find out what the world is like on my own. You aren't always going to be there to hold my hand throughout life. Let's face it you aren't getting any younger and one day I'm going to have to go out on my own." At that she sat down in my father's chair and cried. "who is going to help me with Jane?" She sobbed. Jane is my four year old sister. My mother used to be the strongest of the family. Then...Well..When my dad.. didn't come home that night. My mom has been a nervous wreck for almost two years now. At the sight of my mother's tears I instantaneously fell to the floor next to her and we both cried together. Later that night I lie in bed thinking about my dad and what could have been. The next morning was the last day of school. I liked my school but, really wished I could go to the one in New York . That is pretty much physically impossible. Well after saying goodbye to all my friends I rode the bus home only to find the best present their could ever be. It was sitting on the desk next to the counter. The one small peice of paper would change my entire high school experience. I ran down the steps taking them three or four at a time."MOM!!MOM!MOM!" I screeched. At that moment our neighbors must have thought my mom was abusing me, but I couldn't have cared less about what they thought. Running down those steps I could hear my heart beating faster and faster. When I finally see my mom sitting on the porch swing outside with a glass of lemonade and basking in the July sun. " Mom, just a casual question on this casual day, What is THIS?" I held the small shiny peice of paper to her face. "Well dear I thought about it and said what the heck . but you must get in." She smiled " Mom I am already submitted and they accepted me and I already paid for the way to get in and you just gave me the plane ticket so I guess I'm all set ." I beamed "Well are you packed?" mom questioned" We don't leave for another 2 weeks?" I said" Check again! You leave tomorrow!" She cried"AHHHHHH..." I screamed and with that I took the steps two at a time. I couldn't contain myself. I couldn't be anymore happy. Once to my small slightly cramped room, I looked around expecting to find like Niall Horan standing in my bedroom to wake me up from my crazy dream. I practically floated into the attic to get my suitcase. Filling it with all the essentials. I made a mental list ' Toothbrush, Tooth paste, Hair Brush,Binder, Bookbag, Pencils, Paper, Pen, ... I'm missing something... AAAHHHHH! My clothes. I have to have those.
