LIFE HAS NEVER BEEN EASY FOR YOU. a life of trauma, a life of death and suffering. your family slaughtered when you were only a child, home burned to nothing more than ashes. the clothes on your back, your mother's cross necklace, and one of your father's femurs were the only things you took. to see a young boy carrying next to nothing should have been a warning sign that something was terribly wrong, and it was. for the wrong reasons. OTHERS AVOIDED YOU LIKE THE PLAGUE. your neighbors, heads turned as they whispered amongst themselves. villager's, watching with sunken eyes and clasping their hands together in prayer. yet none helped. they never did. YOU CONSIDERED DEATH. a thirteen year old with no family, no food, no shelter, and no help. joining your family in heaven seemed like the best idea, and so you attempted to DROWN YOURSELF. sinking lower and lower, farther beneath the raging tides, you wondered what death was like. the burning in your lungs was painful yet bittersweet, knowing what awaited you on the other side. AS YOU FLOATED, A STRANGE SENSATION OVERWHELMED YOU. pain in your limbs, muscles stretching beyond what was normal. as you came to, all that surrounded you was red.
