"Hey Cassie!"
I whipped my head around and saw Carter and Lacy walking up to me. They have been my best friends since I started law school. In high school I never really had any friends. More so acquaintances. They knew who my father was and about his company. Friends were hard to keep. They only cared about my family's money. So I stuck to myself.
Carter and Lacy were the first people I met when I started law school. They were in my first class and I just happened to sit in an empty seat next to them. Carter has always been a joker, as you could say, he was the class clown and never took anything too seriously. It was refreshing, especially going to school for law, he's not someone you would meet coming into a serious environment. Lacy, she is carefree and beautiful. Everyone wants to be her or be with her. She's confident and knows what she wants.
They have definitely brought me out of my shell. I don't feel so alone having them around.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I put the rest of my books in my bag and start to walk out of the classroom with them.
"Mrs. Hines has the worst monotoned voice I've ever heard. I can't stand her lectures." Lacy groans wrapping her arm around my shoulders. I chuckle and shake my head.
"It's not so bad, you need to start paying attention. I saw you drooling on the desk halfway through." I laughed.
"Speaking of that, I might need to take pictures of your notes, I have no idea what happened in that lecture." I just roll my eyes. I've shared my notes too many times to count. Lacy can never stay awake for Mrs.Hines lectures. I'm not sure if it's because she likes to stay up all night partying or just because she really is that boring.
"Maybe you should tone it down on the night clubs and you might actually stay awake for class." Carter smacked Lacy on her shoulder.
"Hey! There's nothing wrong with going out for a night." Lacy rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, not every night though.." I muttered under my breath. I don't think it's wrong to party. We're in law school. I just feel like studying is more important and I'm just not into that scene.
"Or maybe, you should come with me tonight. Both of you should! It's Friday and we don't have classes tomorrow. It would be so fun!" Lacy pointed at Carter and I. I wrapped my arms around myself. Just thinking about going makes me nervous.
"There's this new night club that opened a few weeks ago, it's the hottest spot right now! We haven't had a friends night out since we started this year, especially you Cassie, you haven't went out with us at all." Lacy jumped in-front of me stopping me from walking further.
"I'm not sure, it's not something I'm into." I shrugged.
"How do you know if you haven't been? You don't have to drink, just come and have fun with us tonight." Carter pointed out.
I sighed. "One night couldn't hurt." They both cheered.
"You are going to love it!" Lacy sang.
