"Hey, Chiyu, can I ask you something?" I asked her one day from when she and I were just little kids?
"Yeah, what is it?"
"If you could play instrument, what would it be?"
She thought about it for a moment.
"Well, I don't know..." She shrugged.
"Really?"
"Yeah, really." She replied. "But I do think that being a Dj is cool, though."
"A Dj, huh?"
"Yep. If I do become one, you'll support me, right?" She asked with a sweet smile.
"Yeah, of course." I said, smiling myself.
"And didn't you say you want to play the guitar someday, right (Y/N)?" She asked.
"Yeah, but who knows if I'll be able to make it to the top or not." I said as I feel my self-confidence goes down the drain.
Chiyu notices this, and gently puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Of course you can do it." She smiled. "If you put in the work and dedication, you can probably be the best guitarist in the world!"
"Yeah, you're right..."
"Thanks, Chiyu. You always know what to say."
"Of course, anything for you buddy."
She used to say that a lot when we were kids, but as we got older, the sweet girl I used to know is gone forever. Why did she have to change so much? Or better yet, what went wrong?
