It's Jeff's birthday and everybody is helping set up for it. Randal and Murray are decorating the house with streamers and banners. Anthony and Max are setting up tables,chairs and whatnot. Jeff's grandpa is overlooking things, making sure everything is perfect. As for Jeff, you'd think he'd be asleep, but he's really out with Angela for she is the distraction. And John and Todd came down to celebrate as well, but they went to grab the cake. After a while, the party is ready and Angela brings Jeff home. They're making their way to the living room.
Jeff: So why were we walking in circles again?
Everyone: SURPRISE!!
Jeff: ohh you guys, if I'd had known you were gonna throw me a party, i would've been gone longer
Murray: we had to get you out somehow mate
Randal: yeh, and then if you stayed, it wouldn't be a surprise party
Anthony: With all that being said, let's get this party started!!!
The party begins. They do the old traditions like party games, and other stuff like that. Then, they start eating lots of food. Next, they sing Jeff happy birthday and then open gifts. He gets the usual stuff,clothes, action figures, movies, a stan marsh hat, a purple Gibson les paul, and a replica of Gene Simmons's ax bass. Finally, the final part of the party: the magic show
Angela: Hey, who did you guys get for the magician?
Murray: we didn't
John: Then who did y'all get?
Murray: well..
Jeff: Who is it?
Max: is it someone good?
Todd: Or someone legit?
Grandpa: when i was younger, i went to see david copperfield, that was a good show
Mya: who's that ?
Jeff: one of the most legendary magicians around, now i know you guys didn't get him
Murray: nope, its Randal, he's been practicing lately and this is his 2nd gift for you
Jeff: well that's nice of him
Anthony walks to his keyboards
Anthony: sigh* i don't know why i agreed to this
Anthony plays yankee doodle on his keyboard and randal walks into the living room with a top hat, a cape, and a bag full of magic tricks
Randal: come one and all and witness amazement as I randal the remarkable do magic tricks
Everybody starts clapping
Randal: now for my first trick, I'm gonna make this ball disappear
Randal puts the ball in his other hand, closes it, and when he opens it, the ball mysteriously disappears. Everybody gasps in amazement. Anthony stops playing and goes up to Randal
Anthony: How'd you do that?
Randal: a magician never reveals their secret
Anthony: nuh uh, i know how you did it
Anthony grabs the ball, and tries to make it disappear. To no avail, he can't make it disappear
Anthony: ok so you're magic
Randal: i told you, now…what should i try next
After a couple of more magic tricks, and a bit more of Anthony heckling, there was a knock at the door. Jeff's grandpa gets up and answers it. A lady in her late 30s is standing at the door
Grandpa: Lisa?
Lisa: Hey Liam, how long has it been?
Grandpa: 13 years, 13 years of 3 kids raised without their actual parents
Lisa: yeah i know, it's just that I'm here to see them
Grandpa: you came at the wrong time, haven't you broken their hearts enough already?
Lisa: i know what i did to them was wrong, but I'm here to set things right again
Grandpa: then set things right.
Grandpa let's Lisa in. They make their way to the living room where everybody is. Everybody stares at the random lady that just appeared in the living room with utter silence.
John and Jeff: Mom?
Lisa: wow, you two have grown up
Jeff and John walk into the hallway while randal and anthony continue their act for everyone else
John: well we had to, after you and dad left us
Lisa: i had no choice, your father had his reasons and for the past few years I've been regretting leaving y'all with your grandfather
Jeff: And what about Mya? Giving her up for adoption, only for us to find her years later
Lisa: As I said I had no choice. Your dad made me give her up
John: oh no you had a choice, you decided to go with dad and forget you two even had kids
Lisa: John…
John: no that's it, you think you can barge into our house and expect us to forgive you for abandoning us for 9 years? It's not gonna happen
Jeff: yeah, if it was true you had no choice, then explain to us why you've been gone all these years
Lisa: It's like this: your father was a world class boxer. He would get any match he could and I would follow him everywhere. When you two were born, I tried to persuade him to just settle down, but he didn't really seem to care, especially when Mya was born.
John: That's the biggest crock I ever heard. Why don't you just get out of here and leave us alone.
Lisa: look, i know you don't want me here but i still have a right to see my children
Jeff: Well, we haven't been children in years. You left us to fend for ourselves. John had to get a job at 12, and I had to be used to staying at home by myself and then having to help Mya be a better person than what me and John were. I think the only reason you came back is to mooch off what I'm doing right now with the music and touring well you can just forget it. We may be related, but I will not call you mother.
Lisa is speechless. Nothing else was said, so she grabbed her stuff and walked out. Angela, who heard the whole thing, goes up to Jeff.
Angela: Jeff…what did you just do? That was your mother and you just shooed her off like she was a trespasser
Jeff: well she was, nobody asked her or told her to come over
Liam: I hate to admit though junior, but that was pretty heartless. Despite the fact she hasn't been in your life for years, she is making an effort to at least be here. And the least you can do is try to forgive her. If not for your sake then at least for Mya's sake
Jeff looks at Mya and decides to do so. He goes after his mom who just so happens to be waiting outside the carport.
Lisa: i know i wasn't really there for you three
Jeff: I know, but you gotta understand that we went through hell and back without you two around. And i just don't want you to leave again..especially for Mya, she's still young and needs her mother around.
Lisa: That is one thing I don't want to do again, leaving you three in the care of someone else is the most shameful thing I've ever done. I was supposed to be a mother, but I couldn't really do that right. I know you'll never forgive me, but at least let me still be there for you all. I figured if i came back we can finally have a proper family again, but if you don't really want me here then-
Jeff gives his mother a hug
Jeff: just be here is all i want
Lisa gives her son a hug and promises she'll be around more and won't leave. After all that, Jeff's party resumes now with Jeff's mom at attendance.
