Ch 10 - As Hogwarts Comes to an End

3rd Person POV:

Christmas break has come and gone. Spring has come and left, and before the students knew it, their eighth year is about to end. Through all the anxiety, tears, kisses, and hugs the now adults are ready to pursue a long life ahead of them.

But Draco Malfoy is unsure of what he wants to do after schooling. He's not sure of what he can do. I mean what does an ex-deatheater do with their life anyway? But to his surprise, he wasn't worrying about it that much. Hell, he was barely even thinking about it period.

Harry himself was also surprised by his boyfriend's unbotheredness, speaking how much he's seen him panic. But with Draco not worrying much, he found himself thinking he didn't have to worry, either.

But Harry Potter knows exactly how is future is going to look like. He'll become the new DADA teacher, and pursue a life with Draco, as well as his best friends Ron and Hermione.

Blaise and Pansy also knew how they wanted to live out their lives. They were already planning their wedding in Italy, Blaise planned on becoming an Auror, but Parkinson decided to go the muggle route. She wanted to become an interior designer but she quotes, "I'll use my magic all the same, my clients would never know.

Ron Weasley and Hermione also discussed their future together. They recently got engaged, and both planned on working for the ministry of magic.

With Harry and Draco

"Hey, Harry, can we talk?"

Harry put down his book, Heartless by Merissa Mayer and sat up, "What's up, Dray?"

"I think I know what I'm going to do, you know, after school and everything."

Harry's eyes gleamed into his, "Really? Oh that's great Draco! What were you thinking of doing?"

"I-I think I should be a muggle tattoo artist-" He flushed, "or magic, but maybe if I did muggle tattoos they would think my Dark Mark is also a tattoo, and I draw sometimes so I don't think I would be half bad-"

"Draco." Harry cut him off, "I think that's a brilliant idea."

Malfoy smiled at Harry, with hope and happiness filling his heart. Maybe his life wouldn't be so bad afterall.

Leaving Hogwarts

This was it.

The Eighth (and 7th) year students took one last look back at the castle, some filled with tears, some cheering.

Harry knew he'd be back soon, but a small part of him was sad leaving him as a student behind. The 11 year old Harry that started it all.

Draco stared at the castle, taking the magnificent view in, as he recalled every single memory he had there, both good and bad. Both happy and sad. Both safe and dangerous. One would think he would be glad to leave, and Draco at the start of the year would have agreed, but now, things were different. He started anew, with Harry. With his old and new friends. He had hope to turn his life back around again. And Draco was grateful for all the moments he had with Hogwarts.

Turning back to his boyfriend and friends, Draco took one last look and smiled, and took his step onto Hogwarts Express one last time.

Him and his friends were chatting amongst themselves excitedly, about how their lives would be now.

Blaise and Pansy were ready to get married, with much support from their fellow students.

Draco and Harry sat next to each other in the very filled compartment smiling and holding hands, eager for their future together.

As the students departed from Hogwarts, saying goodbyes to professors and what not, Draco finally felt content with his life.

He would become a great tattoo artist, he told himself. And him and Harry would be happy and healthy.

Maybe he hated who he was, but now surrounded by the people he knows cares about him most,

He couldn't care less about what he thought about himself.

OKAY HI!! I know I said this would be like a lot longer but I think this is an okay ending. I know this book kind of yk sucks but tysm for supporting it! Took like 10 months to finish but whatever, hope your somewhat content with this ending and dw I'm working on a lot of other stories!
