Keys jingle as you idly swing them around your finger, brush in the other hand. You're alone in the practice room, the trainer having left you to rush home after making sure you'd actually show up.

It's calming. The energy from before is completely gone, with just your solitary steps occupying the space now.

The music playing in your ears fades, and that's when you hear more. You take out the ear buds to clarify if you were going insane or not, but something else is definitely audible, although very faintly due to the room.

You walk out after shutting off the lights, making sure to lock the door behind you. In the hallway, the alluring melody is stronger– your curiosity pulling you to find its source.

The music grows clearer until you come to a stop in front of a door to one of the recording studios. You open the door quietly, and inside you find one of the girls from earlier, Hanni. She herself seems lost in the music as she sings and plays her ukulele.

"And we can go hi-i-i-i-i-igh

Say it now, yeah, feelin' how, mm-mm

Take her to the sky-y-y-y-y-y

You know, I hype you, girl"

"..Wow." After the final note of her performance rings out, you unintentionally let a soft gasp escape your lips, unable to contain your awe.

Hanni's eyes snap open, immediately thrust back into reality. Her gaze spots you, a realization and surprise in her eyes.

"Y/n?" she asks, a hint of uncertainty in her voice as she tries to remember your name.

"Yeah.." you stand at the doorway, with a sheepish smile and brush loosely held in your hands, "I didn't mean to disturb you. You sounded amazing."

Hanni responds with a shy laugh, her modesty shining through. "Sure, whatever you say."

"I'm serious. That was really good."

"They're just some lyrics I thought of recently."

"Are they going to be in a song?"

"Probably not," she laughs again.

For a moment there's an awkward silence.

"Where is everyone?"

"Probably back at the dorms by now."

Her eyes widen in shock. "How long has it been?!"

"I've been cleaning for awhile, that's when I heard music coming from here."

Hanni's face registers a mixture of guilt and shock. "What, no. I can't have you cleaning when it was my fault–" she stammers, reaching for the cleaning brush, attempting to wrest it from your grasp, but her efforts are futile in the face of your firm grip.

"And I'll get crucified if they find out I let you do my job," you remark, a half-smile on your lips.

"Fine~ ...Then, I should probably head off. The others are likely making up wild theories about my disappearance by now," Hanni quips, a playful grin on her face, quickly gathering her scattered belongings into a bag.

"You coming?" she queries, peering up at you from her bag, her eyes wide with interest. As you think, the background hum of the environment seems to pause for a beat.

You shake no. "I'll sweep up in here and then lock up. You go on ahead, it'll take me a bit."

"Alright then," she nods. Hanni takes a slight pause as she walks towards the door, as if something is bothering her. She gracefully pivots, her eyes meeting yours. "See you tomorrow?" she offers, her words lingering.
