Hudson Celeste POV
Oh My God is she going to kill me? There is no way she didn't hear me say that she's ugly to Orchard.
Mary opens a door to some room , "Come in" she gestures for me to go inside.
I hesitate but go in for God knows why. When I go inside I realize it's a small library. Is she gonna kill me by reading to me?
"I wanted to show you this room because this is where I spend most of my days. I never get to go outside so I grew close with books. My mother says i got it from my father since he too never left the library" she laughs a little, walking around the room and i follow behind her.
I look at the piles of books on the ground, grabbing one of the books that has a red cover and is titled, "My little prince and me", I scan through the book until I make it to the end. What I read was something I never thought a lady would read or would have a desire to read.
Mary turns around to face me. She was shocked when she noticed which book I was holding, "You shouldn't have read that." She walks up closer to me trying to get the book away from my hands but I pull it back, "Are you really reading these types of books Mary? These contain inappropriate writing and nudity", I say to her.
"My parents allow me to read them and it's not like it will hurt me" she explains to me but if she wants to put me through this hell by marrying her then i'll do the same.
"You are going to be Queen! No Wife of mine will be reading disgusting books like these", I open the book and start ripping the pages.
She continues to try to get the book away from me but it was no use, "Hudson Plea-"
"Don't please me! From now on I pick the books you will read and you are never allowed to step into any other library other than mine", I say to her and drop the book onto the floor then leave the library by slamming the door behind me.
...Was that too much? I didn't have to yell at- No! I did the right thing. Don't start going soft on her Hudson.
