3 weeks later...
"Are we there yet?" Natasha asked Me, Natasha, Steve, Clint, Thor and Tony decided to go to Tony's newly renovated beach house in Malibu. Sam couldn't come because he had to train some newbies at base.
"Not far off" Tony replied, we were so excited to be having a few days away in the sun. We pulled up the long drive way to the house. "Tony this is amazing" I said, with an a amazed look on my face. "Well this is me we are talking about" he said I rolled my eyes are got my bags out of the boot of the car and walked with Natasha to the house.
It was around 7:30pm by the time we had un packed into and settled in. I got changed into some short shorts and an oversized turquoise t-shirt, when I came down everyone was sat in the living room laughing, I smiled and went to join them. "Hey April... We saved you a seat next to gramps" Tony said laughing and sluring his words. I couldn't help but laugh, i went and sat myself next to Steve, he smiled at me and I smiled back.
"What we all doing?" I asked getting myself a glass and filling it with vodka and coke.
"We were playing a game that I don't quite understand" Thor said and everyone laughed.
"What's the game?" I asked.
"Never have I ever" Tony said with a smirk filling shot glasses up. He loved this game because he could get all the secrets out of us.
"All you do Thor is when someone asks a question they say they haven't done, if you have done it then you drink....ok?" He looked confused and nodded, I laughed and grabbed a shot.
"I'll give you an example" Clint said. Grabbing a shit of Tony.
"Ok so... Never have I ever been to Asgard... So because none of us have we don't drink, but because you have, you drink... But you can ask anything"Clint explained emphasising the anything.
Thor downed his drink and laughed.
"I like this game" Steve laughed at him.
We played the game for about an hour, we were all laughing and joking, Tony stood up and poured himself another drink "I've got a good one" he took a sip of his drink before continuing.
"So... Never have I ever slept with a co-worker" Tony said smirking at Steve. Everyone stopped laughing and looked at me and Steve, I could have died from embarrassment, I know that everyone knew but we hadn't actually openly admitted it. I looked at Steve and he looked at me, I could tell he was embarrassed and didn't want to give Tony the satisfaction. He lifted his glass up clinked it with mine and we downed our shot. We both looked started laughing at everyone's face,
"Never thought I'd see the day you both admitted to sleeping with each other." Natasha said.
"This is to much information" Clint said getting another drink, Steve laughed at him. Tony walked over to the bar and grabbed a bottle on bourbon.
"Why has it taken so long to admit it when we all know what's going on.... I mean Thor's a little slow but we ain't stupid..... No afence buddy" he patted Thor on the shoulder.
"Because it's nothing to do with anyone but me and April" Steve stated.
"But what I don't get is why you aren't just together" I can't believe Tony is pushing this, it really annoyed me when people push us.
"Because we don't want to be" I stated, I was getting annoyed.
"But you obviously care about each other and you have sex so why not just make it official." I was getting really annoyed and I could see Natasha looking at me,.
"Maybe you should just leave it alone Tony" she said.
"I'm only stating the obvious... I don't see why Steve is just letting April have her own way with things" I stood up and went outside, there was stairs and a gate leading onto the beach so I decided to go on the beach.
Steve's point of view
"Did I say something wrong" Tony said. I can't believe he's just said that, me and April know where we both stand, we are best friends nothing more. I was so mad at Tony right now.
"Dude that was out of order." Clint was annoyed and was now ushering Tony of to bed.
"You ok Steve?" Natasha said.
"He's such a dick" I said, I stood up and left the room to go and find April. I looked around the house and I couldn't find her so I headed out the back of the house. I looked all around the. Noticed the beach gate open.
Once I arrived on the beach I noticed someone walking by the water, I jogged down towards the water.
"APRIL" she turned and looked at me. It really dark but with the houses still having lights on, it lite the beach up slightly. When I got to her I stopped next to her and we carried on walking. We walked awhile before sitting on some rocks, we just sat there in silence for a while.
Aprils point of view
"Did everyone go to bed?". I asked breaking the silence
"Not sure, when I left Clint took Tony to bed and Natasha and Thor were cleaning, they were going to come but I said I wanted to make sure you were ok first.... That all you are thinking about?" He asked,
"Yes" I said with a sigh. "Come one April.... You can tell me anything" he said nudging me playfully, I smiled at him.
"I just kissed with Tony... That was som embarrassing I front of my brother... Yea it set of as a joke when we back fired it on him but he has to make a massive thing out of it" I crossed my legs and played with them sand in front of me.
"I know but don't let him get to you, what goes on between us stays between us..... And anyway we haven't hooked up in over a month... Don't let it bother you." He stood up I looked up at him and he put his hand out to help me up. "Come on.... I am going to put a smile back on that beautiful face" I felt my checks go slightly red. The next thing I know he grabbed my waist and threw me over his shoulder, I started laughing and kicking my legs.
"Steve put me down" I smacked him on his back.
"Not yet" he said, i could tell he was laughing. He out his other arm around me and out me down, I felt the water on my waist.
"Oh my god Steve! It's freezing" I said shocked from the cold water. He smirked at me. "You'll pay for this" i added.
"Shut up you love the water" he stood there and smiled. I turned my black to him and swam away, I loved being in the water, it was relaxing and I could forget everything. I came from under the water to see Steve swimming towards me. When stopped right I front of me, his top was clinging to his body in all the right places, I could see his muscles.
"You checking me out Barton" he chuckled. I snapped out of it and looked up at him.
"Would I do a thing like that" I flirted. Our eyes locked with each other, he came closer and moved my hair out of my face.
"Have I told you how beautiful you look with blue eyes" I giggled and looked down blushing.
"I'm serious April" I looked back at him to see his eyes were still on. There was a moments silence before it was broken.
"APRIL.....STEVE" we stopped looking at each other.
"I'm guessing we should head back, Natasha's looking for us." He nodded at me and we swam back to sure.

Later that night I was led in bed thinking about what had happened at the beach, was he going to kiss me?.I felt so fed up but I didn't understand, all I wanted was to have control over my mind again, not just with this stone, but with my emotions. I turned on my right side and reached for my phone to check the time. 2:30, I sighed and unlocked my phone. I decided to text Steve, he would probably be sleeping but it was worth a try.
April: are you awake?x
Steve:: can't sleep?x
April: not really... Mind if I join you?x
Steve: anytime x
I got out of bed and quietly opened the door, I scouted round to see if anyone was about before I quietly went to his room, I slightly opened the door and went in, he pulled back the covers for me to get in and I led down next to him, he had nothing but shorts on, his hair was flat and messy, I always liked his hair this way. When never spoke, we just laid silent.
"What's wrong" he whispered. I shook my head "Nothing.... Just my brain working over time when I want to sleep.... What about you" I whispered back, we didn't want anyone hearing us talking.
"Same" he yawned, I giggled at him yawning, it was so cute.
"What's on your mind"I asked. He turned his head and looked at me. "You" I froze for a minute before I replied.
"What about me?... I can't be that interesting Rodgers" I said and giggled.
"Just worried about you that's all" I looked at him confused, I sat up slightly so I could see him better.
"Why, you don't need to worry about me" I said running a hand through his hair.
"I know but I can't help it, your my best friend and you just seem so fragile at the minute.... I don't like seeing you like that" I stopped playing with his hair and kept my hand in his hair.
"I know you don't, it's just these new powers.... It's confusing, but with Thor's help I'm getting better now" I gave him a reassuring smile. He moved my hand and pushed me down on the bed so I was led underneath him.
"Good.... So is that all you came in here for" he said with a smirk on his face. I smirked back.
"Steve we really shouldn't, we are doing so well keeping this friendship a friendship" I stated putting my hands on his shoulders. He lent down so our faces were millimetres apart.
"I'm not making you stay... If you want to keep it at just friendship......Then you can always get up and leave" he had a sexy tone of voice. I lent up and kissed him, pulling him on top of me. This was such a bad idea, but I just can't resist him.
