Time went by and they were still thinking of ways to get out of the cave. The only option they had was looking for another entrance but that was difficult to find.
They all groaned in pain of being trapped in a cave. Unfortunately, they ran out of food and they were all starving to death

"God, I'm so hungry." Lesley whimpered

"You were the one saying we shouldn't bring too much things." John uttered

"I didn't know we'll get stuck in a cave!"

"Don't scream at me" John replied

"Arghhhh!! Is this how we will all die." John yelled

They all decided to try again if they would have signal so that they could call for help but still no signal.

"I told you guys let's leave soon but you won't believe me. Now we are trapped." Bryan whispered furiously

"We can't be so sure we are trapped let's turn this boat around and look for ways to get out of here." Sara suggested

They turned the boat around the second time and began to paddle. Lesley prayed so dearly in her heart that they should find a path to pass so that they could continue their journey and return home as soon as possible.

As the boat turned around a loud creaking sound bursted out from the bottom of the boat. The same gurgling sound Bryan heard many hours ago was heard only by his side of the boat. When he looked toward the direction the sound was coming from. Bubbles where dancing on the surface of the water as if something was there.when he moved his head near and strain his eyes too see what was beneath the water, the gurgling sound stopped. He was getting curious to know what that was and why he was the only one noticing it.

Lesley started having a running nose from nowhere. She started coughing out loud. It was wet and disgusting.
"Eww... do you need a tissue. Oh, no tissue. Take this handkerchief then."
Sara handed Lesley an handkerchief giving an irritated look. Lesley hunched over her back and continued the loud cough as she collected the handkerchief from Sara. Her eyes were red and watery
"What's wrong with you?" John asked
"I have a running nose. That's what's wrong."
Her voice sounded hoarse as she responded

"So you think you'll be fine" Bryan asked
"Of course I will" she responded

She reached inside her backpack and pullout a syrup and drank it instantly. After a while, the cough reduced
"What happened. You were coughing like crazy." Bryan asked

"I don't really know. It just came." She replied

"Well that's gone now." Bryan said in a relieving tone

They kept on sailing to find there a way out but it was getting more frustrating as they went on further. They nearly gave up and decided to live their remaining days in a cave not until they went back to where they first came from. Sara was confused because the place where Lesley thought they came from was blocked.

"Isn't it the place we actually came from?" Sara turned to Lesley

"Wow... this is so creepy." Lesley whispered

"Let's get the hell out of here." Bryan said

They went through the same path that they came in from. It was like a miracle in Lesley's eyes. She couldn't help but imagine how the opening to the cave was blocked and now opened. "How?" She said to herself.
As she turned her head to gaze at the rest of them, they were all dumbfounded with their eyes brightened and john's mouth was slightly slack.

Lesley turned her head sideways and she noticed a path where they could go around the cave to cross to the other side of the river. She tapped vigorously on Sara's thigh

"Hey!, hey!" Lesley pointed in the direction of the path
"There's a place. We can go around the cave."
Lesley was hastily to hear Sara's response

"Let's see where that path leads." They drifted the boat and sailed in the path Lesley discovered.

As they crossed to the other side of the cave, they met themselves in another world. It became nightfall suddenly and everywhere was foggy.
"I think we have found the river of Styx." Bryan whispered

Their mouths were opened wide as everything changed when they crossed. There was no stars in the sky, no moon. Chills ran through their spine as the boat moved slowly further.

In the midst of the heavy fog, they sighted a boat coming their way. It wasn't such a vivid sight but something was definitely come closer.

"There's a boat approaching us." Lesley strained her eyes as she said

"Yeah, we can see it too. Who do you think is on it?"
Sara uttered

"We don't know. We are also wondering." Lesley replied

The boat came near and they saw a man holding an old lantern. His head was completely cover with a wide hat. The tip of the hat was as it was bitten off by a dog. His face couldn't be notified. He stopped was he was very near to their boat and asked where they were heading to.

The gazed at each other waiting for someone to respond

"River of Styx." John whispered

The scoffed and said he was the gate keeper of the river of Styx
"What business those the living soul have with the river of Styx." He cried

The man's face couldn't still be seen
"Hmm, our people are dying and we know it's related to this river." Sara said boldly

As the man turned to face Sara, his neck made a cracking noise. He pointed his lantern to Sara's face.

"So what do you think you might find because what I see here is a bunch of young people who don't know the place they have entered." He said

"We want our town to be peaceful again." Sara replied

"Nonsense!" He yelled

"We aren't leaving here until we find what's causing this deaths." Sara's voice sounded cracked as she said. She was scared but said in anyway.

"If you insist, I'll let you pass,But... one of you must die." He raised his hands slowly and gestured towards Bryan.
"You shall die so that your friends may pass." Before anyone of them could react Bryan disappeared
