Solare walked to MIT head high, her skin that wasn't covered by the dress was covered by a cardigan, a hat and sunglasses protecting her face. Like always it was hell for her, sure she only had to be there 40 minuets a day but her natural coloring made that the worst 40 minuets of her life, she was an unnatural freak but she won the trip because she earnt it. even to Solar she struggled to find a way to diminish that achievement, she would be learning from Princess Shuri, despite being younger then Solare Shuri had a reputation globally. She was the best scientist in the world even without the assistance of vibrainium. As she took her notes Solare mentally scolded herself for thinking anything other than the truth, Solare had by no flimsy definition earnt this trip... this apprenticeship. It was one year doing the thing that she loved most under the guidance of her child hood hero. She finally got to meet Shuri and even ask how she made the Panther suit... maybe. Either way, she got to hang out in Wakanda of all places.
"Ow!" she yelped and looked around. Realizing she had walked right into the plane. Solare rubbed her forehead and groaned loudly
"you sure this is the right intern?" T'challa asked Shuri with a slight frown. He just stared at the girl "uh hello?! hello?! you ok?!" he asked but got no answer from the young girl. T'challa looked at Shuri "what is going on?" he asked confused
Shuri giggled slightly and walked up to the girl "I am princess Shuri of Wakanda, are you Solar nychterinó astéri?" the young girl nodded "give her a chance brother" she chuckled"mmm... alright" he agreed hesitantly, doubt showed on his face but she was definently the right inten and it was her score on the test he wrote. "How about lets go now?" he asked going to the controls.
Shuri just chuckled and helped the young girl sit down "I'm going to look at your head" she demanded sternly, even having just met the girl Shuri could tell her immaturity rom a mile away, the girl was a dreamer and that made her smile. This brilliant person was exactly what she needed in an assistant.
Solar sighed" but i cant pay you..." she murmured looking at her feet. Any medical treatment she or Shadow got was self administered first aid, they couldn't afford the medical bills otherwise. Her family had never had much money and she was doing this to help her sister not drive them into a debt they can never pay.
Shuri frowned softly and checked her over "that's ok, you don't need to worry about that in Wakanda, for now at least you're one of us and my brother cares for his people" she explained as she cleaned the small cut and wrapped the girls head gently.
Solar tried to force her hands way still muttering that they had no money but Shuri refused to give in until the young girls head was cleaned and bandaged "see? all done" she huffed backing off
"maybe you're not as likeable as you thought sister" T'challa chuckled and rolled his eyes slightly. As he flew he listened to Shuri talk to her new intern
"what did you mean pay me? i have no need for money." Shuri huffed then smiled at Solar who just began rambling about the American medical system. Shuri groaned as she listened to the girl rant "...great..." she grumbled and walked to her brother "how are the kamono beads going?" she asked now ignoring the ranting girl.
The girl shut up as T'challa chuckled and smiled "they're perfectly fine sister" The Wakandan king rolled his eyes slightly. "This never gets old..." T'challa hummed his voice filled with nostalgia.
