Bocho stepped out of his tin house, the way his house was made is terrible. It could be blown away with enough force with ease. He climbed on to his rusty red bike, it was beat up but good enough for it to still be usable. "Mom, going out, I'll be back by dinner." He said as he drove off, his mom didn't answer, she was too busy washing the clothes and putting soap on them.
"Bocho, where are you going?" His little sister asked him. He rode off, in his slippers as his hair blew with the warm wind. "To the store!" He shouted aloud, he passed by his neighbors house, then the old tree. He passed by Edgar's house and then into the Main Street. He saw a truck full of grass for the man's cows. He rode up the small hill. He entered the store and there was no one there. He got a bag of chips, some candy, and a juice. "Okay 12 pesos please." The lady, Juana, asked. He paid for the items and was given a bag.
He got the plastic bag, thanked her, and he started riding to the park where he and his friends hung out most of the time. He felt uneasy, cutting through the bully's territory. He rode past a tied up donkey, riding on the bumpy dirt road, he kept running over rocks. The bike sprung up and down like crazy. "I should be careful, you never know what's going to happen around here."
Just in that moment, a bull threw a football on front of the bike's tire. The bike stopped and flipped over, sending Bocho to fly off 10 feet. "Well, look who showed up to the wrong place." Kevin, a white boy who moved to Mexico for dad's business issues. "You got a lot of nerve to show your face here after the trick you pulled." Jose told him as Bocho got off his feet and saw the much taller and older bullies.
"Oh, you mean with that slingshot? Hehe, that was funny wasn't it." Bocho said nervously. He bumped into Andrew and looked back at him. He grabbed his arms and then Andres joined the group of bullies. Jose got a slingshot, the one that Bocho used that one time. Kevin got out his fists, ready to punch. Andres then got out his fists as well. Bocho broke free from Andrew's grip and kicked his private part. He fell down and the bullies and got his bike.
"Woah, that was close..." Bocho said to himself. He kept riding towards the park, hoping not to get into anymore trouble... Little did he know when he got there, it would change his life...
