A week passed by, and the camping day soon arrived. Taehyung as usual weren't really enthusiastic about it but his bestfriend was quite the opposite though.
Well, other than else Jimin who can really cheer up Taehyung? What are soulmates for afterall? But the mood soon lowered as soon as Taehyung saw Jungkook getting out of his car. And soon flashback came rushing through his mind of last night.
Flashback
Both of the families gathered at a restaurant. Taehyung didn't have any chance to refuse to show up to the gathering. Whereas Jungkook as usual had no complains.
Both of the families were chattering whereas Jin was on his phone, probably texting his bf. On the other hand, Jungkook and Taehyung were quiet but Jungkook tried to start a conversation here and there, with Taehyung nodding or using one words.
Soon Mr JEON spoke, 'So boys, we heard tomorrow's the day for your camping? How's the preparation going? If you two need anything do not hesitate to ask. Also you, Jungkook take a good care of your future Fiancé.'
Right at that moment, both Tae and kook jolted their heads up, making eyes meet. Both gulped and was in incredibly shock. Jin too raised up his head and left the phone on the table.
Jungkook spoke up first, 'Dad.. Fianceé?'
'Yeah exactly Mr Jeon. Fiance? Mom dad what is going on?' Jin added.
Taehyung was still quiet. Taking in the conversations having but soon his heart felt numb as soon as he heard the next.
Mr Kim laughs.
'Yes son, my apologies we couldn't tell you sooner, but yes the sole purpose for this gathering was to announce about Tae and Jungkook's engagement. But I knew my old friend here couldn't keep it in.' Mr Kim said.
'Oh stop it Kim, as if you weren't waiting.' Mr Jeon replied.
'But isn't that soon..? I mean Taehyung hyung is going to graduate and soon leave for university. It might get hassle for him.' Jungkook tried to reason.
'And my son, that is the reason why we are fixing on the engagement so that you two can get married later when you get admitted to an university since you two are not ready for marriage so we thought why not just get you two engaged?' Mrs Jeon said.
'Absolutely correct.' Mrs Kim replied.
Taehyung after staying quiet , finally spoken up.
'When's the engagement?'
'The sooner the better you know, son?' Mr Kim said.
'Yeah, we thought of the 7th of this month.' Mr Jeon replied.
'But that's like 3 days after they come back from the camp?' Jin questioned.
'Yes. They can come back and in the meanwhile we will prepare everything so that they can make changes if they want to when they are back.' Mr Kim said.
'Oh okay, dad.'
'Can we make it simple? Like only us and some staffs. Please.' Taehyung somehow said.
Both of the families were looking at each other and Taehyung. But later Mr Jeon assured him however he wants, will go in that way.
