Song of the Chapter: Too Young to Fall in Love by Mötley Crüe

Skyla allowed the boys to finish working on their hunt, before she decided to finally have a conversation with Dean. She wanted him to be completely level headed before they talked. If he was focused on the case, than he wouldn't be able to completely pay attention to what she had to say. She believed that what she had to say was important, and she wanted to make sure she had his full attention.

Before Skyla could talk to Dean though, she recieved a call from Sam telling her to get to the hospital for Dean. Apparently, he had been electrocuted during their hunt, and there wasn't really good news to be heard. Almost immediately, she grabbed her things and went straight to the hospital.

"How is he?" Skyla asked Sam, causing the man to sigh.

"Doc said he doesn't have long to live. He permanentlydamaged his heart, and doc estimated a month at most" Sam replied,"but I'm not going to let that be true. I'm going to find something or someone who can help him."

"Is he awake?" She asked, and Sam could see the tears in her eyes.

"Yeah, go on in. I have to go see if I can sign him out, otherwise he's sneaking out." He said, making her nod.

Skyla slowly walked into the room, and when she seen him hooked up to a heart monitor, her heart skipped a beat. He was technically dying, and if Sam didn't find a way to save him, he'd be dead within a month. Skyla was scared this would happen, and all of a sudden one of her worst fears was coming true. She had to help Sam find something to save him.

"Sam call you?" Dean asked, and Skyla nodded.

"Damn it, Dean," She cursed,"Why do you always gotta do shit that will get you killed?"

"Sorry, Sky." He replied, making her frown.

"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been such a bitch to you lately, and I promise I'm not just saying this because of what happened. I've been thinking about it, and I forgive you for everything, and I wanted us to finally be able to be happy again. I wanted us to be friends, and if something more happened, we could potentially chance it," She rambled,"God, Dean, if you die, I'm gonna kill you."

"Guess you're gonna have to kill me." He commented, causing her to scowl at him.

Sam and Skyla brought Dean to their hotel, and barely any time later, they were back in the Impala. Sam had managed to find someone that he believed would save Dean. The man was a well-known faith healer named Roy Le Grange. Skyla was skeptical, but Dean really didn't believe it at all. Sam drove them all the way to the area where Roy's faith healing happened.

Skyla stood on one side of Dean, and Sam was on the other. Dean commented about his skeptical belief in Roy, and Roy had heard him. He called Dean up to the front, even though Dean didn't want to go. Sam and Skyla wouldn't let him give up his shot though, since they really wanted to chance him being healed. They couldn't lose Dean, and they'd do anything to see him healed.

"How does it feel to be able to eat bacon cheeseburgers again without potentially having a heart attack?" Skyla questioned, after she brought Dean dinner after he was healed.

"It's better than that rabbit food Sam tried to force down my throat." He replied, causing Skyla to laugh.

When Dean told Skyla about seeing a grim reaper working for Roy, she really didn't believe him. Dean and Sam went to hunt down the grim reaper and figure out how to get rid of it, as Skyla stayed at the hotel doing research. She didn't want to get in the middle of their hunt, since she didn't want to potentially die because of the grim reaper. She knew the grim reaper was going after healthy people, and though she wasn't completely healthy, she was definitely more healthy than most of the people wanting to be healed.

Hours later when Dean and Sam came back to the hotel, Skyla surprised them by hugging them when they walked in. Neither had expected that sort of affection, but they definitely weren't going to fight it, especially Dean. It had been years since he had been able to touch Skyla, so hugging her felt like he had gotten his own piece of heaven for a moment.

"We need to get the hell outta here. I can't stand this place any longer." Skyla commented, and Dean agreed almost immediately.

The three quickly packed their things, before loading up into the Impala to head to their next hunt. Sam never stopped looking for cases, so when he found a new one only days later, Skyla wasn't surprised. They didn't know what was making the kids sick, but they knew it wasn't a normal sickness. Something wasn't right, and they needed to get down to the bottom of it.

"Are you going to actually go out and investigate with us, or are you going for research again?" Dean asked, looking back to Skyla from the rearview mirror.

"You don't appreciate my research?" She asked, raising her eyebrow at him.

"No, it's not that. I just figured you'd get tired of sitting in a hotel doing research instead of being out in the action." Dean replied, and she shrugged.

"I like being away from the action sometimes. It keeps me from feeling like I'm going to die every five minutes." She answered, causing him to laugh.

"Well, the last three hunts you were on you did end up in dangerous, near-death experiences." Dean commented, making Skyla laugh as well.

Sam smiled to himself, seeing how calm and happy the atmosphere between Dean and Skyla was. They were finally able to talk to each other without fighting, and they were able to enjoy each other's company. He had hoped this would happen, and now that it did, he couldn't be happier...
