Chaerina's Gift [Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters] [1]

Prologue: Pai, the Immortal Demoness of the Trinity

"Good morning, master." His face was red as he stuttered at her, making her tilt her head at his reaction, "I'm Pai. Your puzzle gives you the ability to contract one of your card spirits, and it picked me." 

"What card of mine are you?" He asked and she pulled it out using her powers from his deck, "My real name is Paithamos, the Immortal Demoness of the Trinity." She smiled, "My name for you is Pai, but you are free to change it master."

Yugi blushed hard and spoke, "You can just call me Yugi, not master!" He added, "And Pai is fine! Just please get off of me!" Pai was confused but got off of him, not only just being a card monster but being one based off of a demon which were, historically known to not understand or feel obligated to love humans. "Okay, Yugi." She suddenly became more semi-transparent and got off of him, "Unless we enter a realm where magic makes monsters real, I can only appear like this." She happily followed him to the school where he talked to Joey, even following him to the game shop where his grandfather sensed her presence, "Is there some kind of ghost around you, Yugi?" She flinched, 'How the heck can he sense me?'

"I'm Pegasus. Greetings Yugi, I've heard several good things about you, so now we'll have a special duel." He used his Millennium Eye and Pai had come out as well as Atem, "It's been a while, Pharoah. How've you been?" Her physical form had been created through their arrival in the shadow realm, "We will not win this. Just play as best you can, and focus as hard as you can Atem."  Her pinkish purple eyes scanned the field and automatically calculated the outcome of the battle, "I will take that card from you one day, Yugi. And when I do, you will have nothing left." Pegasus told him after Yugi  lost the battle, pointing at Paithamos who smirked, "I dare you to try, Pegasus."

They were transported away from the magic realm after Grandpa Moto was taken away to the shadow realm, used as blackmail to make sure that Pai and Yugi would participate in the Duelist Kingdom Tournament, where the mogul vowed to claim the millennium items for himself.

"Yugi?" I asked as he was lost in thought due to Atem who was inside him after he finished the puzzle, but to be honest both of them were my masters. Atem was the first to capture me and use me as a monster in the dark battles, but he never disrespected me like how other pharaohs did their cards, and Yugi being his reincarnation was the same. They both respected me, "This boat is going to where we'll face down the best duelists. Hopefully we can do our best." My grey blouse and pencil skirt fit nicely along with my skin tight neck fitting bra, "I still can't believe that Joey turned into a stowaway." Yugi tried to pat my head but he was shorter than me, so it didn't exactly connect. "I get the gesture, ma-...Yugi." 

He smiled until I stepped in front of him after Mai had started picking on him with the other contestants, "Bakura....who is that?" I asked after hearing Tea who had muttered to Tristan as they were hiding out in the cargo, "Wait, they're here too?!" Yugi asked as he stopped talking to Weevil, who thought he was crazy since he couldn't see me. "Yep, they snuck on while Joey was making a scene at the docks." Using my powers to get the Exodia cards after Weevil chucked them off into the water, I sighed, "That guy is a total prick. A weaselly prick." The boat soon reached the dock, and as per my foresight, Weevil challenged Yugi first since we didn't know the rules.

"Yugi, summon me." My words confused him as he faced off against the Giant Moth that Weevil used as a trump card, "I said summon me. Just do it!" The card he had in his hand was mine, that could be summoned by sacrificing ten life points, but he was down to 1350 already. "I summon a monster face up in attack position! Rise, Paithamos the Immortal Demoness of the Trinity!" 

"Shhehhhaa!" I called as my wings spread and I faced down the Giant bug that Weevil summoned. "Impossible! How the heck you do have a twelve star level divine monster?!"

Yugi spoke for the both of us, "I earned this card through trust and it will be your downfall!" He raised his hand as I prepared to attack, "Let the duel truly begin, Weevil!"
