Kavya opened her eyes as the white ceiling flashed infront of her eyes again. The monotonous feeling of the same dirty white ceiling and the sound of saline dripping not leaving her. A tear rolled down her eyes as she realised how she was close to death again.

Cancer, the biggest foe of her life and death the biggest fear. She was just twenty and was being lead to her death by a disease she was sure she would never encounter. She wanted so much from life. She wanted to enjoy life, learn languages, travel the world, hear different kinds of music and feel nature. But here she was, crammed up in a bed in a hospital, pipes attached to her hand, and her energy leaving with each passing second of the day. She wanted to undo it all but couldn't do anything.

She didn't know how to stop the tears which were rolling down her cheeks, her hazel eyes which once held happiness, joy and warmth were just capturing coldness and agony in them. Her heartbeat lowering it's rate each passing minute.

She raised her hand and looked at the bracelet with the peacock feather attached to it. Praying to that God to let her live, let her travel the world, let her fall in love. Being an orphan was hard but she always had the support of her aunt, Mrinalini. And if there was someone she loved more than Mrinalini that was Krishna. The God with the divine flute and peacock feather studded crown with the most pure smile of all and mischief filled eyes.

In the storm that was going on in heart, there was only thing that calmed her. That was the peacock feather attached to ger bracelet. When the waves of heart hammered and almost ripped her heart into apart, it was that blue green feather that stopped it. And today yet again she was kneeling to that feather, to grant her the boon of life, which he had granted before.

She looked ahead and saw her aunt entering, a small smile had displayed on her lips as she felt the presence of the person she loved with all her mind and soul. But she also felt like that her soul was being sucked out. Her energy leaving her, her life leaving her. Her eyes were dropping and her lips grew paler. Her body became colder and her fingers couldn't hold onto Mrinalini's fingers anymore. Before she knew it, her eyes had closed and the beeping sound stopped.

Everything went dark, but suddenly there was a tiny spark. The peacock feather appeared with a man decked gold appeared. Though she couldn't see much, her vision was blurry and her eyes couldn't keep themselves open. She again saw that man, and his mischief filled eyes.
