Song of the Chapter: Heavy by Linkin Park ft. Kiiara

Only a few days after Dean had died, Skyla began to feel sick. She believed it was from her lack of sleep, but it seemed that every time she ate she threw it up. The smell of bacon made her feel sick, which was weird, since she loved bacon. She often ate bacon on her burgers and her pizza.

Skyla had tried to contact Sam, but Sam had pretty much ignored her. He had practically abandoned her the moment Dean died, even though he knew that she was going to take Dean's death really hard. Dean was her husband, the love of her life, and he was gone. Sam seemed to only care about his own feelings about the issue though, but Skyla understood. She would've most likely been the same way had she been in Sam's position.

Anyhow, Skyla waited almost a week and a half, before she decided that something was definitely wrong with her. She was close to believing in broken heart syndrome, meaning she was slowly dying because her heart was broken over Dean's death, but she had a feeling it wasn't the case after a while. She had believed it was the lack of sleep, as well as her numerous nightmares, but she began to really worry.

Skyla had made herself an appointment with a doctor, and before she went to the doctor, she called Bobby. She needed someone's support, and it seemed Sam wasn't going to give her any. Bobby was more than willing to give her support, since he knew that Sam hadn't answered any of her calls. The problem was, Sam had promised Dean he'd be there for Skyla, but he wasn't.

"Skyla Winchester?" She heard, and she quickly stood from her seat in the waiting room.

The nurse lead Skyla to a room where she would be waiting on the doctor. The nurse took her vitals and asked her what the problem seemed to be. Skyla told her about her lack of sleep and nightmares, which had been caused by her husband's death, but she then asked if that could cause her nausea and vomiting.

The nurse commented that nausea and vomiting could be caused by a lack of sleep, but her nausea based on smells of her favorite food did not sound too connected to a lack of sleep. She then offered the one answer that scared the hell out of Skyla; pregnancy. The nurse had the girl pee in a cup, and offered to take blood to be completely sure.

"Just do a pee test," Skyla replied,"if it comes back positive, I'll get an ultrasound to be completely sure."

About thirty minutes later, the doctor came into the room with Skyla's results. Skyla felt her heart in her throat, when the doctor seemed to be smiling a bit too big when she came into the room.

"Well, Skyla, it seems you're pregnant." The doctor stated, and those words made Skyla's world feel like it was falling apart completely.

She had just lost her husband, and not she was pregnant with his baby. He wouldn't get a chance to meet his baby, and she hated the entire universe for that.

"Would you like to get an ultrasound to see your baby?" The doctor asked, as she sat down her clipboard.

"Please." Skyla practically whispered, and the doctor smiled.

The doctor grabbed the ultrasound machine from across the room, and rolled it over towards the bed. She had Skyla pull up her shirt a bit, and pull down the top of her pants. She then put some gel on her belly, and placed the wand on the gel. Skyla stared at the screen, as the doctor slowly worked to finding the baby.

"There's your baby," The doctor said, as she pointed out the baby on the screen,"You're around eight weeks, so your morning sickness is expected. Your baby looks healthy though, and is growing perfectly for how far along you are," the doctor looked over at Skyla,"You want to hear the heartbeat?" She asked, and Skyla nodded.

The doctor turned on the sound, and the moment Skyla heard the sound of the baby's heart beat, she busted into tears. She was so happy that she was going to have a baby that was a mix of her and Dean, but she was sad because Dean was gone. Dean was never going to be able to be apart of the baby's life, and that hurt Skyla the most.

"Would you like a copy of the scan?" The doctor asked, and Skyla nodded.

"I want a couple of them, if I can." Skyla replied, causing the doctor to smile.

"I'll get them for you," The doctor answered,"and Skyla," the girl looked over,"I'm sorry about your husband, but I know you'll be a great mother, and I have a feeling he'd be very proud of you and excited for this baby." The woman said, causing a smile to form on Skyla's face.

Skyla waited for the doctor to come back with the scan copies. Once she had them, she went out to her car and placed the scans in the passenger seat next to her. She planned to get a couple photo albums to keep all the pictures for when the baby was older, for Dean, even though he would never be able to see them, and for Sam, even though he was ignoring her.

She would also make one for herself and one for Bobby, but the other three were going to be the most important. She just hoped that the doctor was right. She wanted to be a good mother, but she wasn't sure if she'd ever learn how to be. She wanted to be perfect, but she knew it wouldn't be easy. She just hoped that her baby grew up happy and healthy, and she planned for her baby to grow up hearing stories about Dean and everything he ever did to save people and make people happy...
