"So, you ARE leaving"
Jackson asked while holding onto her suitcase as she loaded them one by one, in Jude's car, who volunteered to drive her.
"You could have at least let me drop you off"
He kept talking but all she did was not reply. She pulled the handle of her suitcase but he was holding it back.
"Are you not going to reply to me? No goodbye? No parting message?"
She sighed and looked at him with pain in her eyes.Her tears might have betrayed her anytime soon and before it did, she leaned forward and hugged him tightly. She had to hide her tears from him.
"Are you okay?"
He stood still but was surprised and was not able to understand what was going on with her.
"Goodbye, Jackson."
Thats all she said before walking away.
"Bye, brother"
Jude hugged his brother-in-law and said
"She is a silly girl to let you go. You are a good man."
Ya, really silly that she can't read her own mind.
As they drove away, she could not take her eyes off Jackson, who stood still, at where she left him.
Once that yellow car disappeared from his sight, he squated on the floor and covered his face with both hands.
Tears!
Gotta keep them a secret.
But mothers, I tell you.
Lizzy came from behind and hugged her son
"Don't hide them son, you have kept them inside for so long. Let it go.... Weep all you want,Mom will take care of it"
And he cried, heartbroken and helpless.
A year back, he couldn't believe that he was going marry his crush. Someone who came into his life when he was at his lowest. She didn't know but she was always the catalyst in his story.
He was not a perfect man. He struggled to speak his mind and he failed to speak for her when he should have, stand up for her and he failed as a husband, when it mattered the most.
But he tried. To be there for her, not as a demanding husband but as a companion to a delicate and vulnerable woman, who was full of insecurities, trust issues and was heartbroken as well.
But she changed him. He speaks his mind now, not letting people decide for him, found courage to stand up to his own parents when it was necessary.......
But at what cost?
He had to lose her to become a better man! And she, left him, for herself.

"Are you not going to criticize me?"
Jewel asked her brother, who was visibly suffocated by holding back his words.
"You...Stupid..stupid...stupid girl"
He blurted out.
"Now thats more like my brother"
She chuckled.
"Oh!Come on!"
Jude almost slammed his hands on the steering.
"Has he hurt you to some unforgivable extent that you are punishing him like this, Jewel?"
She was taken back by what he was saying
"Punishing him? You think its damn easy for me?"
"Then what is it?"
"He deserves better.Much better woman. And they will love each other. And will live happily ever after"
"Are you upgrading yourself into a proffessional bullshitter? You know what, you are right. I wish they find him someone with an ounce of self confidence and spine. Seriously, what do you think you lack?"
