Chapter 11: Secrets Deepen

Akari stood outside of Yuko's huge mansion.

I walk through the metal gates and walk up the driveway towards the house. Going up to the door, I knock on it. I stand there waiting a couple seconds. Then the door opens.

Yuko was standing there, holding the door open. She was wearing her pajamas as well. Her face lights up, a huge smile on her face.

"Hey Akari! You're finally here. Come on in, everyone's here already." Yuko says, opening the door all the way.

"Hey Yuko, you ready to have fun!?" I walk in next to her. I hold my hands up in anticipation.

She grabs my hands.

"Yes girl! Let's get our party on!" She says sqweeling.

Then she leans in and whispers.

"Don't worry I've got some games planned to play with the boys. So you can finally reveal your crush to Kurayami."

I shake my head franticly.

"What no! Don't do that Yuko, please. It will just make everything super awkward. I promise I'll tell him eventually. Just not like this." I say blushing.

We walk in the rest of the house talking, she closes the door.

"Aw come on it's the perfect romantic atmosphere. It's a great opportunity. play some giddy little kids games where you reveal your crushes and what not." Yuko says smiling.

I sigh rolling my eyes.

"I'm not sure about this..." I respond.

The house was huge inside, it was very fancy and modern looking, everything was so white. Super decorated, everything looked expensive.

Yuko and I continued to walk around.
She gave me a quick tour of the house, then we went upstairs to her room.

"You can drop off your bag and stuff in here. Us girls are sleeping in my room and the boys get a separate spare room to sleep in." Yuko tells me.

"Ah. That's good." I say to myself. I set down my bag.

Yuko crosses her arms. "So the boys can keep their grubby nasty little grippers off of us dignified ladies."

I turn back around.

"I don't think they're that bad. They would never do anything like that, they're innocent good little boys." I say to Yuko.

Yuko raises her eyebrow.

"Really Akari? Are you that naive? Boys are evil little animals. They might seem all cute now, but when you're alone. You'll see..."

I shiver, and cover my arms "Sheesh. Now you're creeping me out."

"Haha just kidding. Come on now let's go to the family room where everyone else is at and start partying." Yuko says slapping me on my back.

We leave her bedroom and make our way over to the living room downstairs. Kaede and Kura had some sleeping bags layed out on the floor, they were sitting there talking.

The T.V was on playing a random movie. There was a pretty big couch in there as well. The T.V was at least eighty inches.

"Hey guys, Akari's here!" Yuko shouts out to them.

They both look up and wave.

"What's up?" Kaede says.

"Hey Akari. How are you doing?" Kura asks, smiling.

"Pretty good." I respond.

I stand there awkwardly, not knowing where to sit. Yuko grabs some fluffy blankets off the couch and throws them on the floor. The blanket smacks Kaede in the face, falling over his head.
