Lizard(wo)man x Male Knight Reader

I was a guard. Not any guard, though, a royal guard. I was the best of the best, and I was guarding my emperor and his empress on an expedition out to another royal's castle for diplomacy.

Emporer: "Say, L/N?"

Y/N: "Yes, my lord?"

Emperor: "I think it's time you found a wife. Perhaps maybe you'll be like me and find yourself a Lizardman and best them."

Y/N: "But what about you? I must guard you day in and day out from any dangers we may come across!"

Emperor: "Oh, don't worry about me, we're friends! You can't worry about me all the time."

Y/N: "My lord, I am honored to be your friend, but your life can be in danger at all times! I've heard tales of a warmongering Dullahan with an army of undead! We don't know her motives or what her husband thinks about it. But we do know that she has already ransacked some smaller villages nearby of all their gold!"

Emperor: "And we will deal with them accordingly with our own army. Simple as that."

Y/N: "Fine, I'll go and search out a Lizardman after we're done with this."

Emperor: "You go do that then."

*timeskip*

We had returned, and the Emperor reminded me that I should go and find a Lizardman. He sure is adamant about them. Maybe it's because his wife is a Lizardman he won over, but who knows? So I started walking to a cave in search of a Lizardman. And it is very hot, I shouldn't stay here long. And I heard some rocks moving behind me, I grabbed my longsword on instinct and aimed its blade towards where the sound came from. I had started looking around the corner where the sound of rocks being disturbed came from, but also on all sides.

???: "You, you seem strong, I request a duel."

I turned to the voice, and low and behold.

Y/N: "Let's find a more suitable dueling ground, so it's more of a fair fight."

???: "That makes sense. I know a spot, follow me."

Midway through the walk towards this spot, she knew I only just noticed it now, but she was walking in a way that swayed her hips. She was doing it on purpose. Had I striked her fancy?

???: "What's your name?"

Y/N: "Oh-uh, Y/N, Y/N L/N. Or just L/N as my more professional title."

???: "My name's Harriet. *mutters something to herself* Well, we're here." She said as we entered a clearing that had a circular shape, letting the sun into the forest.

My armor was gleaming in the sun, and Harriet's sword was too. My sword was in its sheath, so it wasn't sparkly. But when I did take my sword out, it also gleamed, showing the quality and condition of our gear. This will be a fair fight. Once we got into our positions, I started advancing towards her, and she responded by taking a defensive stance. I continued my advance in seemingly no stance, no way to defend myself from an attack that could arrive. But it took Harriet some time to notice, and when she did, she charged at me. Due to the minor distance in-between us, I had more than enough time to react, and when she swung, I parried her perfectly, and then used this opening to get a good slash at Harriet's legs and then a hit with the pommel of my blade to Harriet's chest, which was softened, but still knocked her back onto her back. I then took this advantage to make a jumping stab at the side of Harriet's head.
