"Ben 10's Alien Engagement: Adventures in Love and Intergalactic Diplomacy"

Unexpected arrival

POV: Ben

I lay in bed, annoyance festering on my face contemplating the bizarre turn my life had taken. I had been duped by Kevin into believing he was under attack, only to discover that he was now engaged to Princess Looma. What made matters worse was that he hadn't told anyone about the engagement. Groaning, I racked my brain for a way to escape this predicament, but the rules of Looma's race were clear: the male had to defeat their female counterparts in combat to earn the right to marry them, and I was the only male to have achieved that. It seemed like I was stuck in this situation. I muttered to myself, I would try to find a silver lining in the situation. At least they had given me 5 years until the wedding was supposed to happen. With that thought in mind, I got up and began to get dressed for my one day off from being a hero, wondering what I should do to make the most of it. As i finished getting dressed and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth when suddenly my entire room started to shake. quickly spat out the toothpaste foam and exclaimed, "What's going on?" With a sense of urgency, I rushed outside and looked up at the sky, only to realize that it was Gar Red Wind's ship descending slowly. The ship landed, it caused some damage to the surrounding property, much to my annoyance. I could feel my own frustration growing, knowing that some people would be understandably upset about their damaged belongings. I hoped this unexpected visit wouldn't add more complications to my already complicated situation. Princess looma emerged from her fathers hulking ship, as her eyes instantly locked onto me. Quickly she ran toward me with unbridled enthusiasm and wrapped me in a suffocating bear hug, squeezing me tightly against her chest. "Beloved," she exclaimed, "it's so nice to see you again." I'd struggle for breath as the lack of oxygen from the tight hug left me gasping for air. I managed to wheeze out, "Can't... breathe..." to looma hopefully she heard me. Realizing her grip was a bit too intense, she let go of me, offering an apologetic smile while looking down at him. "Sorry beloved, I forgot how strong I can be," she tells me as I Still trying to catch my breath, I would  look up at Looma and ask, "Why are you here so early? It's only been 2yrs?, and we still have 3 more before the wedding, right?" She smiled warmly in response to Ben's questions. "Yes, beloved, it's only been  2yrs" she confirmed while also adding. "I've been studying Earth's culture and customs, and I realized that we haven't been on a date, or even officially been boyfriend and girlfriend. So, I convinced my father to allow me to come and stay on Earth." She told him with a smile. has her stuff being brought out of the ship. At first, my response was a bit absent-minded, as I said, "Oh, okay." But then, it clicked in my head, and my eyes widened with shock. I asked, "Wait, you want to date? Go on a date and be in a relationship with me?" The idea seemed to take me by surprise. 'But I mean it's not like this is the first time someone wants to date me' I thought to myself but then I remembered most of the times, I was the one who asked out, not the other way around, well there where some who did ask me out where just doing it for my fame well mine is Julie. She nodded with a warm smile as she replied, "Yes, beloved. I want to go on dates with you and be in a relationship. And not only will I be staying here on Earth, but I'll also be staying with you," she added as her stuff was finally unloaded. 'Hopefully this shows him I'm interested in him and not his titles, since I knew about how others only wanted to date him for his titles and nothing more' she told herself.  I couldn't help but blush at Looma's words, my mind racing with thoughts. But I shook my head slightly, trying to clear my thoughts. I couldn't believe that she wanted to try a relationship with me, let alone stay with me. As I processed it all, a small, almost incredulous laugh escaped me mentally of course since I didn't want to answer. 'Wow' he thought to himself, 'this might be the first time a woman actually wants to date me.' I was about to mention the ship when it suddenly took off, leaving some of Looma's belongings in its place. I scratched the back of my head and said, "Well, I guess that settles that question." Looma went over to collect her things, then turned to Ben, asking curiously, "So, beloved, where is your living place?" With a sigh, i realized there was no way to avoid it now. So I gestured for her to follow me inside and muttered to myself, "How am I going to explain this to my parents?" Suddenly, I smacked myself in the face, remembering that I never even told my parents about the engagement. Looma noticed Ben's sudden gesture and asked in a caring, loving tone, "Is everything alright, beloved?" I quickly reassured her with a smile, "Yeah, everything's okay. Don't worry." But in the back of my mind, I knew, i had a lot of explaining to do, and hiding the truth was only going to make things more complicated. Looma looked around Ben's home with curiosity, finding it quite different from what she was used to. It was her first time being in Ben's home, and everything seemed so Earth-like. She followed Ben as he led the way to his room. I suddenly stopped in my tracks, realizing that my room was in a bit of a mess. I turned to Looma, a nervous smile on my face, and asked, "Hey, can you wait here for a moment?" He knew he needed to clean up the place before she saw the chaos in his room. Looma nodded in understanding and replied, "Of course, beloved. Take your time." She glanced around the room and noticed the family photos on the wall. It made her think about meeting her soon-to-be in-laws and the need to get them a thoughtful gift. With Looma waiting outside, i decided to transform into XLR8, using my super-speed alien form. He zipped around the room, cleaning up in a flash, making sure there was nothing left on the ground. Once i was satisfied, i reverted back to my normal form and stepped out, ready to welcome Looma into his tidy room. I noticed Looma's fascination with the family photos on the wall and coughed to get her attention. "You can come in now," i said with a warm smile. Looma turned to him, slightly embarrassed, and apologized, "Sorry, I got a bit distracted." She followed him into his room, finding it clean and noticing some posters on the wall. One of them featured Sumo Slammers, which piqued her curiosity. She turned to Ben and asked about it.
I chuckled nervously, trying to downplay the Sumo Slammers poster. "Oh, that's nothing, just a cartoon I used to watch as a kid." Just as I was about to ask Looma something, my phone rang. It was Gwen, sounding worried and urgent. She asked if I was alright and why there was a large ship near where I lived. Gwen's voice came through the phone with concern, "Ben, are you okay? What's going on? There's a massive ship near your place!" I quickly reassured Gwen, "Hey, Gwen, calm down. It's just Looma. She's here to visit." Gwen's concern eased a bit, but she still asked the question on her mind. "Why is Looma here? It's only been 2 years since you beat her in that fight, don't you have 5?." I explained to Gwen, "Looma learned some of Earth's customs, and she wants us to date before we get married." Gwen couldn't help but find the situation amusing. She chuckled and said, "Well, good luck breaking the news to your parents, Ben."
With a groan, I hung up the phone and turned to Looma, who had finished putting her stuff away. Looma asked Ben if he had anything planned for the day and if she could join. I replied, "Nah, nothing planned. We can go for a drive, if you'd like." I said, grabbing my car keys from his desk. Looma smiled and nodded, saying, "That sounds like a good idea." They headed out the front door to his car when suddenly someone threw food at Ben's car, calling him a freak and telling him to get the aliens off Earth before driving away. I groaned in annoyance and anger, clearly used to such incidents happening since aliens became more common on Earth. And how some people don't really like the idea of aliens coming here that although some people like it since they get to meet new people some see it wrong and shouldn't be allowed to be on their planet. Looma, on the other hand, looked very pissed off. She turned to Ben and asked, "Do you want to go after that man and teach him a lesson?" She cracked all four of her hands, ready for action. I shrugged off the incident with the person who threw food at my car, saying, "no it's okay, that kind of thing happens a lot nowadays. Doesn't really bother me anymore." Since his grandpa told him that he and the plumbers would do their best to calm the public, Looma sighed and let it go, realizing it was best not to dwell on such matters. She then smiled as Ben opened the car door for her, and she gracefully got inside. She complimented him, calling him a gentleman for his chivalry. I blushed a little at the compliment but waved it off, saying, "It was nothing." As i  started driving into the city, i engaged in some small talk with Looma, asking how she had been since they last saw each other.
Looma shared her experiences, mentioning how some Tetramands had challenged her to marriage. Her tone turned dreamy as she continued, "But I beat all the male Tetramands on my planet who dared to steal me away from my beloved."
I  chuckled, sounding sarcastic, "Yeah, lucky me, my 'Looma' is so strong." However, i didn't realize that Looma took my words quite differently, and she blushed intensely at me calling her 'my' " i-i mean I'm happy your where able to beat them looma" I said trying to fix what I said but it still didn't work as she gave me a kiss on the cheek which caused me to blush more " hehe it's okay beloved, I know what you mean" she said as I continue to drive ' great first thing I do is the opposite of what I'm trying to do'
