Peter is about 8 now and his "parents" decide that he might actually need to learn something because he never talks. The only word he has ever said was his first word. So Christina goes out to the store and buys flashcards to teach Peter how to says words and what they mean. Roger stood back and watched Peter learn words for the first time and he forgets that this isn't actually his kid. Christina looks at Roger and gives him a smile. They both have seemed to have forgotten that they kidnapped Peter when he was young. They are treating him like he is their own. Then Roger goes and turns on the TV and what just so happens to be on, the news report about Peter being missing for 8 years. Roger quickly turns off the TV before Peter can realize that the name of the child on the TV is actually him. But then he remembers that Peter doesn't understand words so he turns the TV back on and listens to the report. The report gives a vague description of Peter and what he might look like now. Christina looks at the news report and she remembers that Peter is not hers and she begins to cry. Peter stares at who he thinks is his mother and wonders why she is crying. Roger quickly runs to comfort his wife and he starts screaming at Peter for no reason. "Why did you cause so much trouble?" , "Why can nobody forget about you?" . Peter doesn't understand so he just walks away quietly and goes to sit in his room.
