➵ PATIENCE- TAKE THAT
'my heart is numb, has no feeling so while I'm still healing, just try and have a little patience'After practice, Rory showered and chucked her pyjamas on. She went down to the common room and met Enzo. They had the werewolf assignment set by Snape due on Monday. Her and Enzo decided to study together and get it done tonight.
"Hi, how was practice?" he asked.
"Good, nothing special really." Rory shrugged.
"I'm sorry I didn't come and watch— I owed Draco a favour from last week so he made me do his potions homework."
She laughed, "You shouldn't let him take advantage of you like that, Enzo."
"I know, I know, it's just easier to comply than argue with Malfoy. He always gets his way."
She laughed, "Very true."
"Should we go to the library then?" he asked.
"I'm in my pyjamas."
"It's fine, put on my jumper. You can't notice."
Rory put on Enzo's jumper and the familiar smell of vanilla flooded her senses. She smiled to herself. Enzo's worn the same cologne since she'd known him. "Cmon then." he said, noticing her grin and triggering one of his own.
They headed down to the library and grabbed the books they needed. Rory saw Pavarti and Padma sitting on one of the sofas with Dean Thomas so she smiled and waved at them. Padma waved back excitedly and Rory laughed. She absolutely adored Padma and Dean. Pavarti and Lavender, not so much.
Rory and Enzo found a spot to sit at the back and opened their books. "I hate assignments for defence against the dark arts— it's in the name— defence, we should be doing physical work, not writing hundred foot essays." Enzo groaned.
Rory laughed and nodded in agreement. She had already started a bit of the essay with Cedric but it was nowhere near done. "Yeah, it's going to take a while."
Enzo sighed and rested his chin on his fist. Rory smiled as she studied his features. He may of been tired, but his eyes were still glistening. She wondered if they ever stopped glistening.
Whilst working, their knees touched and Rory expected Enzo to quickly move it away and awkwardly blush, but he didn't. He kept it there. She raised her eyebrows and smiled. She kept her gaze on Enzo's eyes. They never lost their twinkle. She could stare into his beautiful, chocolate brown eyes for days.
They had read a lot of informed— including all of the inheriting and symptoms stuff that Cedric had told Rory about. The more she read, the more convinced she was that she was a werewolf. She couldn't tell if she was overthinking it or not.
Rory chose not to say anything to Enzo about it, he hadn't seemed to of realised whilst reading the symptoms so she decided not to worry him with what was probably all just in her head.
Two hours later, Enzo had almost fallen asleep against her arm and her eyes were beginning to hurt. She closed her book and sighed. "I think that's enough for one night," Rory laughed.
"Yeah, I think that's for the best." He said, drowsily. Rory smiled and stood up. Enzo still hadn't stood up so she laughed. "Come on, Enz."
"Coming."
"Usually when people say 'coming', they actually do it."
"Mhm." he murmured. Rory rolled her eyes and grabbed his hand. She pulled him up and he groaned. "So rude." he muttered, making her laugh.
They slowly walked back to their dorms. It was nine-twenty five PM and Rory realised that she hadn't eaten since late afternoon. "I'm starving,"
"When did you last eat?"
