"phew, real long fucking day." Foolish rubbed his forehead and leaned against a vending machine by the aquarium entrance.
"It's been an hour." Bad said causally while walking by to get himself a bottle of water.
"The bus ride counts, that was hell."
"Oh, it wasn't that bad." He cracked open his water and had a sip. The kids were off with the tour guides and a couple other chaperones. There was no harm in a little break and chat. "I mean, besides the cigarette incident. But hey, don't feel bad. Sometimes parents make mistakes."
"You fucker! Dapper gave Leo that cigarette, I saw it!" Foolish defended his child with passion, it helped that he also thought Bad's kid was a little pretentious scumbag.
"Why would Dapper even do that?! Come on. My son knows better." Bad brushed him off.
"You're a terrible dad." Foolish scoffed.
"Oh yeah?" Bad gripped his bottle, getting protective over his good parent status. "Who's bed did you wake up in this morning, hm?"
"Oh no, now that's crazy!" Foolish crossed his arms. "My own, thank you very much."
"Ah, and who was next to you? Who's dad? I bet it wasn't Leo's."
"That's fucking low. Why do you care if me and Vegetta are together or not?"
"Mn'Idunno..." Bad said in one nonchalant breath.
"Well what about your love life then? Who are you screwing?"
"Foolish! Language!" Bad hissed even though the area they were in was deserted. Every member of staff was occupied with the kids it seemed. Even here, Bad could hear the laughs and arguments of the kids.
"Still hung up on the ole Skep?" Foolish smiled proudly as if the shocked look on Bad's face was a trophy. "Oh, too far?"
Bad shook his head but glared like it was personal. "For your information...I know Skeppy isn't coming back to me."
"Oh wait, what?" Foolish hadn't heard Bad admit that yet. Now he felt like scum. "I mean– you know– he could come back maybe?"
Bad shook his head again. "No, he's got someone new and everything. Actually, I knew about it all along..." Bad sighed. Sometimes you need to spill your guts at an inconvenient time so you can continue your life without screaming. "Skeppy didn't sleep in..."
"You mean...the train?"
Bad nodded. "He didn't ever intend on coming...he told me he'd been cheating on me for months, and that the island was a good opportunity for me...to just, move on. He was nice about it, really." Sad-sarcasm laced his tone.
"Damn...Bad, I'm so fucking sorry." He was sincere. "That is awful, I had no idea. You hid the pain well."
"Yeah...and I've found myself in another loveless situation yet again."
"Wait, what?" Foolish tilted his head. "Are you...seeing someone?"
"No, not really..." Bad looked around to make sure things were still clear. He heard Tallulah yell "Richas, stop pulling my hat off!" Followed by the sounds of a childish scuffle. Then of course, Chayanne shouting "I'll kill you!"
"I'm sure the kids are fine....we can talk about your little sneaky, sneaky thing." Foolish winked. "You can totally trust me."
"I don't know, I really don't want this to get out to everyone. I mean, I'm not like...really out. I'm out, but not loud and proud about it."
"No problem, I will not tell anyone." Foolish pretended to zip his lips shut.
"Okay...well, me and Forever–"
